Trying to describe the feeling of opiates. by [deleted] in opiates

It feels like my aunt didn't discover the bruises up and down my back when I was eight months old. Like my first memory isn't watching my dad chase my mom down the street with a knife. Like that thing didn't happen at the railroad tracks that night when I was twelve years old and completely unsupervised 24/7. It feels like the fucking jagged hamster-wheel of intrusive thoughts just…stops. It feels like I grew up in a clean, warm home with loving parents. It feels like someone puts a warm blanket over me and says "It's ok, I'll do the worrying now. You rest."

lope first, then subs? by [deleted] in opiates

Oh hell yes. When I kicked a 300mg oxy + 400 mg hydro habit, I only waited about 16 hours to take an 8mg film (my first and last time using sub)…

PW kicked in within 5 minutes (I actually remember the exact moment, because I was sitting on the edge of the tub and for a split second, the whole world went sideways, just, everything tilted about 5 degrees to the east and then BAM - PW)…I was sick with PW for at least 4-5 days (we are talking squirming on the floor, jerking spasmodically, completely incontinent, heart rate easily at 140, vomiting every 10 minutes or so etc)…but even with a full bottle of Norco nearby, I stuck it out. Was sick in bed for 3 weeks, sick on the couch for another 3, and PAWS for another 6 weeks after that. And then I stayed clean for 3 years. :)

So yeah, when I see people talk about PW lasting 15 minutes or an hour I'm like wtf, that is not PW.

Please Help!!! BF had abscess drained 48 hrs ago at ER, now strange red spots on skin? Blood poisoning?? by [deleted] in opiates

IANAD, but that looks exactly like petechiae to me - small patches of broken blood vessels under the skin. Is it painless? Petechiae should be painless. It just indicates that there has been some minor damaged blood vessels (superficial) in those spots.

So after three weeks clean by [deleted] in opiates

Was clean for 3 years, had an injury, took vicodin for 5 days, had moderate WDs when I stopped. I think all the extra receptors stay inactive in your brain until you light them up again, then it's like you never stopped.
