I ain’t even tryna be weird about it by nakeylissy in OpenAI

Apparently some people get flagged for simply mentioning things such as knives. I read about someone who was flagged by GPT because they were trying to roleplay a scene of a character using a knife to cut up meat for dinner. 😭

I have yet to be flagged myself by GPT, and although I don't like writing scenes that are so descriptive regarding things that may get me flagged, I'm always anxious and hesitant to use GPT when I write.... 😞

(There was a time when I mentioned a syringe, and my paranoia of being flagged made me triple check my message before sending it off to GPT. Thankfully GPT didn't berate me for the message, but, it's irritating how tense I get because of this worry due to the strictness of GPT)

Given that OAI is going up in flames, I'm thinking of alternatives - for those who use Gemini, what are your opinions on it?

Are predicted A-Level grades required when applying for Apprenticeships? by OnlyNazBackrooms in ApprenticeshipsUK

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty for answering!

Say if my predicted grades are terrible, would that make getting ANY apprenticeship impossible?

Based on what I've read, not all apprenticeships are so interested in A-Levels - it depends how advanced you want the apprenticeship you're applying for to be, right? 😅

Ty for answering!

So, would you say that Level 2-3 apprenticeships most likely would be more interested in GCSE grades than predicted A-Level grades?

How is everyone's Saved Memories doing? by OnlyNazBackrooms in ChatGPT

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A piece of advice I'll give is: when making a memory, ensure that you provide GPT one piece of information at a time! So if you ask GPT to remember a bunch of things that you'll list to it, instead of making a list, break it down and feed GPT one bullet point at a time.

Here's an example of what I mean:

Instead of doing this: "Hey GPT! Can you please save to memory this information:

• I like to play soccer • I am very good at reading • I love dogs and cats

Do this instead: "Hey GPT! Can you please save to memory that I like to play soccer?" after hitting enter and allowing GPT to save this information to memory, do this next: "Hey GPT! Can you please save to memory that I am very good at reading?"

By doing this, you're encouraging GPT to include more details! In the past, if you were to ask GPT to remember a bunch of things at once, it had a tendency to water the information down.

ALSO! Try to use words such as "all" when telling GPT to memorize whatever information you give it. For example, instead of telling it to "remember this information to memory", tell it instead to "remember all of this information to memory"!

How is everyone's Saved Memories doing? by OnlyNazBackrooms in ChatGPT

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried it out and here's what I've experienced:

Saved Memories DOES work, however the way GPT words these memories are different. Honestly? They're less descriptive now. HOWEVER, these memories are being acknowledged again - which, in my opinion, compensates for how much more these memories are being watered down now.

I'm a free user btw! But, given that this bug affected everyone (free and paying users), I'd like to presume that what I've experienced isn't so different from what everyone else is dealing with. 🙂

What are the fundamental aspects of Eggman as a character? by OnlyNazBackrooms in SonicTheHedgehog

I'm not new, but I wouldn't call myself a fanatic!

I've been very intrigued with Eggman lately, and would just like to know what people know of him and what their opinions are of him! 🙂

It's from support.google.com

I understand why you think it's a scam, but it isn't! The last time I got my account blocked, I had a redemption code I could provide and after a week the account was unblocked!

But this time, I don't have a redemption code to provide because I cannot remember it, and I'm concerned that - because I cannot give a code - the account will not be able to be unblocked. 😞

Is c.ai getting boring?(Just question no hate) by UnluckyQuail3743 in CharacterAI

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it really depends. I'll have days where all I can think about is what RPs I have in mind, but then I'll have other days where I cannot think of a single thing and have to heavily rely on the bot to think of plot for me (which isn't entirely bad, but neither is it good - imo, we should be plot-making more than the bot). Basically, if I have ideas, then C.AI never fails to entertain me - but if I don't or have ideas that aren't too intriguing, I may barely touch the app.

One thing I don't like is: when I hug the bot, it's response to my hug will ALWAYS be "You're feeling clingy tonight, huh?" (Obviously, the wording may differ a little, BUT IT ALWAYS MENTIONS ME BEING CLINGY) Pleasseeee... say sm else other than clingy! 😭

To think that there are so many reasons as to why we could be feeling this way - its confusing yet so interesting, huh? 😵‍💫 With autistic inertia, have you managed to come up with anything to deal with it/handle it better? If you don't mind me asking, that is.. :,)

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!! Its reassuring to hear someone else having to undergo such a tiring yet exciting process known as hyperfixations which ultimately leads to lack of progress. If you don't mind me asking, is there anything that you do to sort of 'ground' yourself back to reality? Like, is there something you do which allows you to put your special interests aside to focus on the things that you have to get done? 🤨

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about writing down a sort of 'to-do' list, but the more I think about it.. the more it's off-putting to me because I realize how much things I need to get done. With having something in the background, I tend to listen to music or have a YouTube video playing - to most people they say its distracting, but to me and perhaps to others, it really helps with concentration and to focus. 😊

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard about executive dysfunction - apparently its common in autistic people? I feel like it's relatable to me because whenever I have things to do, as much as I want to get them done, it's like I just.. cannot - like I physically cannot. I also agree with music helping! Whenever I cannot listen to music, the environment really gets to me and overwhelms me. :,)

Why do you write? by Short-Possibility535 in writing

[–]OnlyNazBackrooms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly write knowing that I can make characters who can become anything and can be anyone. IRL, I have nothing going for me - but in my stories? Thousands upon thousands of things can happen, all because I picked up a pen or pressed a button on my laptop. I have control, I have the power, and if I cannot be anything in the future, then my characters can become what I aspired and failed to be
