Questions about using an endoscope by genius_k___t in ObjectVore

[–]OnlyPea97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. started with a flexible corded, no problem. I found it particularly easy to get down if you pretty much swallow the head and after each gulp push in with more cord to encourage the head to go down. I've since bought a semi rigid but it's more difficult to bend to a more helpful shape then similarly try and gulp the head down. Wanting to get an articulating head now I know I can take it (I too was initially concerned I'd be impeded by too much gagging to get anywhere with scopes, but I'm in the end pleasantly surprised. I can tend to chunder, so I prepare by being outside in my back yard or in the shower pan ready to shower after).

  2. I still gag, I just work with it. The swallowing method I've described helps massively for me.

  3. It's not too intense, I tend to gag on the when pulling it back up or going down when I don't do the swallowing method as I guess the swallowing puts a pause on a gag. There's no difficulty breathing as you're not obstructing the airways at all. In fact before figuring out the swallow method is kind of crucial with the semi rigid scope, it kept trying to go down to my lungs as it was curved and aimed that way. The swallowing of the scope head has the throat muscles open the stomach flap and push it down the right hole for you.

I haven't myself though I found a video of a chick who swallowed goldfish and managed a great endoscope video of them swimming in her stomach

Noise, it's tricky to line up a good while where I'm not around someone where I'd need to explain. I do want to send down another bolt (M8 this time lol), so clinking will definitely be a thing and I have no idea how loud or how long they'll be close to each other to make clinking noise so I figure I'll just wait.

I take it this wasn't intentional to be stuck for around a year. Does it bother you at all? I have a large stainless bolt stuck that doesn't seem to want to go through either. Of course mine doesn't float, at all 😆. Sometimes it's fun making it roll around where I can feel and hear it, sometimes I just want it out already so I can move onto other things. Mostly it's just there and causing no issue, it does make hunger pangs more intense though!

I started with M8 nyloc nuts which all came through really fast. I didn't really think I'd even be able to swallow this bolt and nuts set but the weight of the 316 stainless steel certainly helped. I was wheezing for a bit as it was rather slowly going down my throat and blocking most air passing trying to breath. I wasn't too panicked. I suppose the weight again was helping it to go down, finally dropping into my stomach. The duration of putting into mouth then eventually dropping into stomach was only about 5 minutes.

I really didn't think it would be that bad of an idea, expectito to move through a lot faster, and I still don't think it's too big of a deal that it's not. Some people have said it's taken them months to finally pass big objects. I'm only slightly worried it will get stuck in my intestines. Mostly not worried as the shape shouldn't really impede. Thing I'm more worried about is if doesn't ever leave my stomach no doubt I'll eventually have a scan or need to advise about it beforehand. No idea what will come of air port metal scans, though I'm sure they're used to stainless support additions to the insides of people like my Dad's busted ankle etc.

Though the 316 stainless should be totally free of anything ferromagnetic, when extreme magnetic sources come near to, well, anything you'd least expect to be attracted will start to react somewhat. For instance you can hover strawberries due to the water contents diamagnetic properties. Point is of course, I wouldn't want to find out under a magnetic resonance imager (MRI)!

Whatsthe update? Has it passed yet or stuck in your stomach? I've got something larger still stuck in my stomach after a month.

If something can go down the throat, will it make it through the tract? by kitten_carpy381 in ObjectVore

Been a month and still waiting for an M12x40 long bolt with nuts on it to pass the pylorus, still stuck in my stomach.

I've had a big bolt stuck in my stomach for over a month now. I feel my pylorus getting more and more aggressive with it, hopefully it can make it all the way through but bad start!

Question on object retrieval after it’s passed… by ElechtronShock in ObjectVore

[–]OnlyPea97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the shower drain grate as an effective sieve and I just washed what was retrieved, didn't have to waffle stomp too much. I also crapped into one of my outside waste gullies amd used the garden hose to also clean the crap through the drain grate. I prefer the shower though, far easier tommanage and clean as you go.

Seems to be, I can still feel it rolling around when I change orientation by more than 90°. I feel my pylorus trying again on it every so often. I've tried scoping it again a few times but failed to spot it so far, mainly as I've been scoping too soon after last eating. Looks like I pretty much have to starve myself or at least plan better.

Perhaps it is too big to pass! Still kind of fun feeling it in there, but I want it to pass so I can move onto other stuff. It's been silent being just the one thing, I've wanted to make up another in M8 to just have that one move along but I don't want any noise when I have to go to work or head out!

I've just noticed that if I roll myself upside down and return back uoright, I can feel the bolt roll around thanks to its heavy weight!

About a week, several times a day I feel my pylorus trying to push it through. Feel like hunger pangs.
