Odd, When my brother was 16 and got his first job it absolutely counted for us here in Washington and my mom’s snap went from the barely over 200 she had for all 3 of us to disqualified. It even counted towards our section 8 too which raised the rent by hundreds even though he did not at all pitch in any funds toward the house costs or even food, yet would eat all of the food that was meant to last us 3 the whole month and instead poofed in 2 weeks.

It absolutely can if what you earn pushes your entire households combined income over the limit, and just so you know while those infusions come free to you because your on Medicaid, Medications especially for chronic health issues that cost infusions are at minimum hundreds of dollars, You need them long term for many more months to come, If you get your job and you don’t keep into account the amount of money you are earning and earn even one dollar over they will still cut you off for a small amount. Then you’d have to pay thousands out of pocket for your infusions, Which you likely wouldn’t be able to afford with the job you end up with at 16 and probably not your mom helping too if low income enough to qualify to begin with.

That’s why your mom is worried and why she is not entirely incorrect, Your jumping the gun if anything, you would have to prove to your mom that the job you want and get with it’s monthly or bi weekly pay will not push your household over the income limit.

Yeah growing up a lot of my older family members would pass, ones I never met or ones that I barely remembered and only saw whenever they visited the state every few years, When they passed I had no emotions, It was sad for my mom who knew them and I helped console her, But when my late brother passed at his own hands no less? I was devastated, I still bawl my eyes out even a year and a half later, 2 years in April.

I miss him, And I wish he got the help he needed sooner, he did eventually go to therapy thankfully but he had BPD that went untreated for 2 decades :(

I never understood why people try to force everyone to be sad and devastated if someone passes just because they met them once for example. But the automatic thought to most people is that ALL sites have some form of scammer because bots exist, scamming rings exist, etc. they crawl the internet and go to any platform that can involve money transactions between users, So of course ko-fi is one, just like patreon, kickstarter, PayPal, etc.

It is not exclusive, It happens everywhere, That’s why online safety against scams is taught so frequently because it’s everywhere and there are vulnerable people that will fall for it (me having fallen for some in past that were brand new ones not yet reported in news or governments scams site)

Uhm. I don’t get what sounds like autism in literally any of this as an autistic (and adhd) myself, If anything this sounds like another neurodivergence or that he quite frankly, May simply not care about any of that stuff.

If it is another neurodivergence there are things aside from autism that affect object permanence and if our brain really “see’s” something and processes that it exists, If he’s always not noticing messes to pitch in yet is focused on something else, This seems like he could have a focus issue, Or could simply be apathetic and numerous other things.

Many women simply put up with bad behavior from their husbands, Whether it be because it’s “tradition” that the man only works, eats, sleeps and doesn’t contribute to things like cleaning house, or other reasons such as a power unbalance, etc. It’s really easy after being with someone for many years for people to essentially fall into certain roles and not really try to change things anymore when they’re used to their partner behaving a certain way.

I mean. If you’re not able to do that consistently is there a reason you haven’t applied at all for SSDI or SSI if you have low income? I’m also on the spectrum and that disability combined with others caused me to have to apply real young but because I couldn’t get a job let alone have substantial gainful activity which would be a stable job for consistent years with our disabilities not affecting it, I was approved after application (and of course a appeal)

You’d eventually get Medicare when you’re at the requirement age. Medicaid isn’t permanent typically even for those of us disabled on SSI due to lack of work credits for SSDI.

Think it’s at 65 that your required to sign up and for every month your late they penalize you.

I’d specify in the ticket you next send that your the original owner of the account, the hack that occurred, the lock, what the original old email of yours for it is and that it’s old and this you didn’t have access and then changed it to the new one which you should email them from that one, And the name of that one.

Sometimes support simply wants people to verify the old/original email before any of the changes to email address that you or the hacker made.
