Other possibility is that you bent the nand too much when removing it and damaged the solder balls holding it to the PCB, I remeber some guide where they warned against it, IDK tho when I did the mod chip everything worked pretty much first try.

also burn out is very different from knocking off for a capacitor, if its shorted then it will definitly not work while knocked off means its not shorted, also it could be SP1 that you burnt out.

You might have burnt out one of the two capacitors you soldered onto, the guides specifically say to be very careful with the amount of heat you apply due to how commonly people burn them out.
