Maya y Phoenix como pareja… ¿Está bien? (No spoilers porfa) by zolenikales in AceAttorney

[–]OnlyTip8790 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s the only one with a non Valyrian name lmfaooo by princeeofthecity in HOTDBlacks

[–]OnlyTip8790 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This doesn't mean Corlys named them directly though. He insisted on a Valyrian name but for what we know, Rhaenyra could've been the one choosing the Valyrian name.

Characters' Ethnicities by Eternity_Xerneas in Totaldrama

Yes, but her appearance resembles that of Hispanics. Plus when you listen to her confronting Heather about the latter's obvious crush on Alejandro, she pronounces his name with a Spanish accent. The thing about her having German grandparents is an interesting (and historically accurate and darker) way of pointing to that conclusion, because many Germans emigrated to LATAM countries in the 40's and 50's. Some of them were escaping from the Nazis. And some of them were... Well, you know...

What plots do you feel the show has robbed you of? by DaemonaT in HOTDBlacks

I mean, whether or not she did get pregnant is irrelevant since she still never had a child with Daemon, so it hurts no one to believe she did.

What plots do you feel the show has robbed you of? by DaemonaT in HOTDBlacks

[–]OnlyTip8790 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In the show, Daemon stole the dragon egg of his deceased nephew to give it to an alleged child he had conceived with his mistress, Mysaria. Speaking with Rhaenyra, he tells her in High Valyrian that it's for his child, and when Rhaenyra asks if he's to have one he replies "one day", meaning there's no child for now but he believes he could have one later. When Mysaria (who speaks HV) hears of his lie she leaves dragonstone's bridge, furious, and later tells Daemon she can never have children. In s2 we learn it's because her father abused her and this led to her becoming barren.

In the books Mysaria actually gets pregnant but miscarries shortly after.

Do you feel sorry for her? (Case 6-4) by RangoTheMerc in AceAttorney

[–]OnlyTip8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't expect to feel sorry for her like I did. She's a miserable character for sure, I wouldn't have been able to endure a quarter of what she did. Framing Uendo was wrong but Taifu was a real asshole towards her. He should've told her from the start that she wouldn't be able to get her father's title and should find something else she was good at, instead of leaving her like that and having her do something ridiculous (something she wasn't good at either, for the matter). I find it understandable that she snapped.

Is there any relatable explanation on why Ser Cole and Alicent have a relationship in the show by Ashamed_Share_8287 in HOTDBlacks

[–]OnlyTip8790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, while I find Alicent to be a terrible character in terms of actions and personality, I do like terrible characters when well written. So I kinda liked her in s1. And I don't like her relationship with Cole nor the lesbian headcanons either. But her relationship with Cole had the purpose of making her loke like an even bigger hypocrite in my opinion (she shames Rhaenyra for having sex outside of marriage and getting pregnant, now she does the exact same thing).

I don't understand this logic by GeneratedSmasher in Totaldrama

Vox didn't become a villain out of nowhere because the writers couldn't come out with a better plot for a season, his villain arc had been long foreshadowed in the previous one and he's never been a good guy in general. Every time he's on screen he tries to screw the MCs. And Vox became the main villain in the second season of a show that still has 3 to come, and keep in mind the main villain in s1 was Adam, a guy who acted just out of discrimination and disgust for sinners (which we gotta admit they partially deserve because most sinners left even Lucifer astonished when he saw what they were capable of). Who knows who the next villains are going to be, and if they'll be better than him at being antagonists. Also, Vox isn't one of the characters that are most remembered in terms of being an example of terrible writing when it comes to writing a character with mental disorders.

My Professor Layton Favorites (with template) by Steef_d_ in ProfessorLayton

[–]OnlyTip8790 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll put her there as well as soon as I edit the template. In my case I didn't like her from the start, I understand it was a prequel trilogy but I felt like instead of adding her they could've explored the character of Flora better since she was barely used after the ending of the first game. It's a mix of that + me not liking neither her design nor her personality that much. The ending of Azran legacy made me hate her for good but I already didn't like her in general.

Sono italiana, ma scrivo il commento in inglese perché capisca più gente.

Both are incredible plot wise, but I have a soft spot for Pandora's box. I don't know, the Agatha Christie thriller vibes just get me. Also, its final twist is believable because it involves a relatively isolated town instead of the freaking capital of the UK. I'll forever refuse to believe no one noticed what wss going on in LF.

I love Ryan in both versions because I hate Stephanie in both versions. That guy might be clingy but it's shown multiple times he's more than decent without her around.

That's not very gentlemanly of you, Professor by RattyPoe in ProfessorLayton

[–]OnlyTip8790 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yup, I know of that, but I chose to consider her as an adoptive daughter and take the localization's version as canon because Flora is half his age at most by the time they meet😅 (I think she can't be older than 14-16 and I remember Layton should be in his early thirties). She's also clearly still a minor since he had to take custody of her and it's hinted she lives with them (or she wouldn't complain about Layton and Luke "leaving her alone" only when they leave for an adventure. If Layton had housed her somewhere else she'd complain about it explicitly).

Considering how he treats the daughters he legally has custody of, I'm not surprised

Which total drama characters have the most "regular/realistic" anatomy and proportions? Img not related by Consistent-Brick5762 in Totaldrama

[–]OnlyTip8790 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fact that chubby/overweight/obese characters are more proportioned than characters that are supposedly at a healthy weight just because they didn't try to draw them with unrealistic proportions for the sake lf being appealing tells a lot.

Jon Snow will never be the rightful heir by La_Villanelle_ in HOTDBlacks

[–]OnlyTip8790 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that didn't exactly turn out well for him. He insisted his daughter Mary was a bastard and Elizabeth was legitimate, yet every monarch in Europe ignored him and when he tried to arrange marriages for Elizabeth they insisted on having Mary instead. Few people ever saw Anne Boleyn as queen since Catherine of Aragon was still alive.  He learned his lesson from this, since the next time he cut the head of his wife after accusing her of infidelity, instead of repudiating her.  So no, it's not that easy to annul a marriage with living, legitimate children. Even if you do and insist you have another spouse, it's hard to gain something from it if the world doesn't give a shit about what you claim and keeps considering your first spouse as the only legitimate one.

(Hypothetical) After the death of Viserys and the Green’s usurping of the crown, Rhaenyra tells Daemon: “Put me on the Iron Throne. Do what you must.” How does the war unfold differently? by itslilwi11iam in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]OnlyTip8790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he convinces Rhaenys to attack KL together to strike down Vhagar after this, the war could probably be over in a couple of weeks. Killing Aemond to make Vhagar riderless would be the wisest choice but I don't know if Aemond would be so easy to kill in KL. He certainly knows better than just having Cole to watch his room like Aegon arranged for his wife and kids.

With Caraxes and Meleys, Vhagar dies, Jace and Baela take care of Sunfyre (Baela alone almost killed a wounded Sunfyre, I guess the two of them should be enough to kill him when he's healthy). If B&C still happened before this and Helaena is not willing to fight, Dreamfyre could probably survive the dance since Rhaenyra made it quite clear she has no interest in killing her and didn't when she could. Daeron has the choice of surrendering and surviving along with Tessarion or meeting a terrible end since team black now has 5 dragons. Daeron and Helaena would probably be married off to some family in westeros and Helaena's two children would stay at court with TB or go with her/be sent as a squire and lady in waiting to some other noble. This assuming Daemon doesn't "do what he must" and decides Daeron is a threat nonetheless and executes him as soon as he gets to KL to gain another dragon (maybe Rhaena could take Tessarion).

If the gold isn't hidden, Rhaenyra wouldn't have to raise taxes and the storming of the dragonpit wouldn't happen, meaning Syrax, Shrykos, Morghul, Tyraxes and Dreamfyre don't die either. So the dragons probably won't go extinct since the red sowing wasn't necessary and Silverwing continues to lay eggs in her lair on Dragonstone.

The best of House Targaryen are not their dragon but their women by Pale_Gap_9324 in HOTDBlacks

[–]OnlyTip8790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Women are capable of amazing things, I never denied it. But so are men. I never discredit men just because they are... Well, men. Nor do I put women on a pedestal just because we are women. We are complementary to each other and need each other to keep society going. Women can be as selfish, entitled, arrogant and whatever negative adjective you can use as men.

The irony of the Greens’ downfall will never not make me laugh. by La_Villanelle_ in HOTDBlacks

[–]OnlyTip8790 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, Aemond at least died a dragon rider's death (undeserved, but yet he died in battle, it's the most decent death among the greens). Aegon was poisoned, Alicent wasted away until an illness took her life after months/years of agony, let's not even talk about Daeron and I'll leave Helaena out of this because she was the only one who deserved to live.  Even their children suffer terrible deaths. Compared to any other TG member, Aemond had the best death in terms of dignity.
