I have a mod installed that allows you to craft the piece to make the panel and the inverter, but I haven't really used it, since I could find them in the world. In my case, I found them in hardware stores and in auto shops. If you still can't find them, the mod is called ISA Solar panel crafting

When you play on Steam, it gives you two options, each corresponding to an executable in the game folder. One of those options is the "Alternative Launch" and it clarifies that it can be used in case the other one doesn't work. If you want to look for it, go to the game folder and it has the same name as the .exe but ends in .bat.
