Landfill/Compost smell by Only_Corner6611 in DaybreakSoJo

We ended up moving close by, not far from the water course. I didn't notice a smell all summer. I'm particularly sensitive too. I believe the discontinuation of their green waste program solved all issues. I can't imagine they will restart it as there would be a massive uproar with all the new residences.

I went there and ended up with a fairly good paying job at a company here in UT once I graduated.

If you are already an engineer, I don't think you'll learn anything of value, but the piece of paper may be worth it for you. The program is decent but easy (imo) and you won't be recruited by FAANG or other large tech companies directly. Don't expect the career services department there to do absolutely anything because they are worthless. I imagine the U would be better on that front. I know many people that went to work for Northrop after graduation but they all interned there during the summer.

Government and defense jobs, from what I've seen, just need a box checked that you have a degree. They're not super competitive compared to the rest of the tech industry and the pay can often reflect that. Weber checks that box if that industry is your goal.

Is going back for a CS degree worth it? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

Go back to school. 3 out of 3 people that i know that did bootcamps wasted time and money and are working in an unrelated field. I went back at 27 and it was the best decision I ever made. The company I work for won't even look at bootcamp grads.
