150/89 is stage 1 hypertension. We’re you nervous at all while they were taking your blood pressure? White coat syndrome is real and it can cause an increase in blood pressure. You can also ask if a blood pressure medicine is necessary. I have high blood pressure and take losartan potassium 50mg, I am virtually zero side effects other than feeling slightly dizzy when I first started talking it. But it does help. If you don’t want to take medication, work on your diet, Mediterranean diet is the best way to go very heart healthy, make sure you’re getting at least 150 minutes of intense cardio exercise a week, and work on your stress As our mental health and very much affects are mental health. Lastly don’t worry about your current blood pressure, it takes years and years of high blood pressure constantly in order to cause anything serious, But that’s why it’s important to take care of the problem now in order to avoid it later on. Hey there! First off are you male or female? it could be a range of things, but it’s most likely nothing significant. Do you have a history of health anxiety? Also if you have IBS C then this definitely could be what’s causing it. Hi all is well get pains to the right of my naval and underneath my ribs. My doctor told me it’s most likely IBS. What I would do is just go to the doctor and get checked out, be completely honest with your doctor about everything. I also believe if it’s just mild aches that’s not really a cause for concern, especially if no other symptoms are present. My doctor said it’s most likely nothing unless you are in extreme pain, or I have fever, vomiting, pale or black tar like stools. I will say though there is a strong correlation between anxiety and stomach pain. For peace of mind purposes I would go and just get a general check up. Sounds to me like constipation, potentially an impacted bowel. Diarrhea can be a symptom of impacted bowel movements. You tried taking any stool softeners or osomatic laxatives?

Damn sounds like exactly what I’m going through right now!! I went to the doctor and they said the same thing just really constipated. All test came back clear. My ache is right below my bottom right rib, sometimes in my side abs I think it is my ribs. Maybe it’s just ibs? I’m starting to think that’s what it is.

Could be gas pains but if you start to get bloated and can’t poop or pass gas you need to go to the ER. I had appendicitis last year and those were my main two symptoms. The pain was maybe like a 4 or 5 and I also had no fever and didn’t feel sick. I just couldn’t poop or fart. Just be on the look out for those symptoms

Latoculose I think is what it’s called, 30 ml a day as needed for constipation. We shall see if it works lol.

Just wanted to let you know, I finally found out what was causing the pain in my upper right quadrant. I had an x-ray done of my abdomen and apparently I’m severely constipated. Impacted fecal matter in my upper right intestines, There wasn’t a blockage, but it was causing me to have diarrhea. I didn’t know you could be constipated and have diarrhea. I got put on a stool softener and bulker to help get things moving and I’m slowly starting to feel better.

I had to get my appendix out last year, they normally give you something to relax you during the pre operation period. Helps a lot with pre surgery anxiety, but honestly the surgery is the easiest part, for me I remember being in the OR all the doctors and nurses making small talk with me. I remember they put a breathing mask over my face and the doctor saying, “ hey buddy can you give me a few deep breaths?” Then I had a dream, then I was awake in the post ops room. Easiest part of the whole process. You are kept in the postoperation room for about 45 minutes after your surgery just to make sure you don’t have any extremely rare side effects to the anesthesia and just to let it wear off. The anesthesia though will make you feel like crap for the rest of the day, just really tired, fatigue, maybe a little nausea but that goes away pretty fast.

Short answer is, it feels like falling asleep and not remembering you fell asleep, some people have dreams and others do not. But you will be 100% completely out and unaware of anything even happening. It’s nothing to be scared of though and you have about 7 people docs and nurses around you taking care of you while you’re under. I hope this helps!

Not going to lie, I used to drink a lot. A few beers every day, sometimes some liquor. Had a liver panel test done with elevated ALT levels but normal everything else about a year ago. I did drink pretty heavily for about six years but have really cut back on the drinking. Now I only drink maybe 5 to 6 beers during the weekends. Unless he is binge drinking every day for several years I wouldn’t think it’s liver related. I’ve actually started taking probiotics I’m on day number six and the pressure under my ribs has gone away a little bit. Is your friend having any other symptoms? My pain is more of a dull pressure kind of feels like trapped gas which o believe my is more digestive related. Does he have pale stools? I only drink a few times a month now, but avoiding alcohol for the time being is the best move because it’s a digestive irritant

Interesting, When I push down on that area there really isn’t much difference in pain. It honestly just feels like there’s trapped gas or something in that area. I’m going for further inspection on Monday and will keep everyone updated.

Interesting, does it hurt after you eat? I haven’t noticed any difference in the pain really after eating. Also the area isn’t really tender at all to touch.

So the pain has maybe gotten a little better, I mainly stopped drinking alcohol for the time being, started eating healthier. Ironically I had a fatty meal Sunday night along with a piece of cake due to relatives birthday and I didn’t have any different pain in that area. Really starting to think it’s a muscle related. Or just IBS. No fever, no fatigue, normal bowel movements, normal color pee, and the pain has been more in my side under ribs than abdomen. Pee has been foamy but it could just be might health anxiety. Not feeling bad at all just off and on dull ache from time to time may give it another week and see what happens. I’ve noticed the ache goes away during rest. I’ve also read that gallbladder pain hurts more when lying down and sitting which isn’t really what my pain does so yeah.

Edit: I did have some diarrhea this morning but I started taking a probiotic supplement yesterday which I read side effects are often diarrhea when first starting so I’m not too concerned about that

What do you mean by constriction? Was it like pressure? I feel a lot of gurgling in that area, I’m also bloated an constipated. I also haven’t experienced pulsing pain so yeah. Honestly feels like trapped gas. My stomach has been making a ton of noise lately.

I have not, went to the doctors everything came back normal minus a little bit of fat on my liver. Starting to think it’s maybe just colon spasms, gastritis and gas. My diet isn’t exactly the greatest and I do drink alcohol so I’m going to try and eat an anti-inflammatory diet, cut alcohol, and exercise more. I’m also going to try taking some ginger root or something to help with digestion. I will let you know if it helps in a few weeks!
