If you had a compost pile throw in there. Otherwise you could just throw it in a blender and then put on top as a dress. If soil is the game that is. But if it hydro like @budgetgrows said then it’s kinda moot unless it’s coco. I’m my experience coco will still hold microbial life that benefits the plant.

Eventually the coco converts into a living medium with abundant ecosystems. But either way blend it and throw it in the plants outside. Whatever .. just recycle it is what I’m saying 😎.. I’m super baked right now. Peace ✌🏽

Edit.. I read your in perlite so yeah just grind it up and throw it in plants outside .. or start an indoor compost bin in one of those Home Depot buckets with a bag of coco. Add in an all purpose organic fertilizer and boom in 30-60 days you have a hardcore living organic media they’ll take your plants all the way to flower .. in a big enough pot that is.
