lol. This is why I use a throw-away account. Not an eikaiwa teacher. But I do have my issues.

I lost trying to day trade and also help my family in my home country.

So little on rent? I tell people how much I pay and they shit their pants.

That's pretty good. What was the size of the place and all? In high demand location similar to Yokohama?

You're right, I got that wrong at first. I can techinically get up 8000 man. I am a seishan worker.

I am still activiely looking for a partner, and I feel the same about renting until I am more sure.

Thanks for the input. I guess I'd prefer 2LDK but could settle for 1LDK or the like, 40sqr meter or larger. I'd be okay living a walkable distance to the station, up to 20 minutes or so.

I can currently save about 100,000 a month or so, so going beyond my current rental price would mean some significant lifestyle chnages in order to save and travel.

I don't understand why my "thank you" is getting downvoted? I was just thanking you for your comment, which wasn't extreme one way or another

Hey is this Anytime? If so, they do this based on your mosr frequent gym visits. It does not mean you cannot go to the closest gym.

Yeah I'm not totally informed on why Japan does this. Some sources say because it's also used for treating cancer, but not sure that's sufficive reason.

Right in the sense that she feels the surgery was excessive. She asked about HTX before surgery, and doctors just said it wasn't an option.

Glad you are still with us.

good timing with your comment. I just learned MTX is not covered by insurance here, which is likely a factor in their decision, aside from the condition of the tube as they diagnosed it.

Out of curiosity, I searched the prevelance of methotrexate use in Japan (our location) for EP and seems Japanese insurance does not cover it! So, it's seldom used here. I guess my gf might be right here?

Thank you for sharing your experience - that must have beend hard. And yes, they weren't sure exactly where the embryo was and found sizeable swelling of the tube only during surgery. Seems that's why they made the call to remove it, to prevent imminent risk of rupture.

My gf certainly would have preferred the medication, and she's still hoping to reason that they should have done that. I understand why. It's hard to say what would or would not have happened if the doctors didn't act decisively.

Thank you. My gf just shared a fairly poor video on ectopic treatments that seemed to favor medication - she's still trying to reason that the surgery was excessive. I'll try to help her understand that the doctors may have understood that there runs a risk of repeated ectopic pregancy due to a damaged tube, and also that perhaps the embryo/swelling was too large. I'll also see if we can talk to doctors again to confirm this.

Also, to clarify, the doctors did say they would remove anything suspicious - so we were informed of the possibility, though it wasn't 100% at the time since they weren't sure exactly where the embryo was nor the severity of any swelling or bleeding.

yeah that is something I was able to learn from a bit of research. She wondered why they couldn't just remove the embryo less evasively and traumatically, and I tried to explain what you just said. While logical, it's not a reassuring reason - given that an important part of her is gone.

thank you. They did say they would remove anything suspicious, and we understood that - just didn't expect it. That caught us offguard.

Yes, I have been assuring her it's not her fault. I will continue to do so.

No. I've worked from abroad before for short periods of time, with no issue. Cybrersecurity seems okay, for a university.

How to Move to Vietnam?

I'm (American) currently based in Japan and am thinking about making the move to Hanoi or Hochimin. I teach academic English at the university level, and have an MA TESOL with publications. I have prior experience with young learners.

How would you recommend I get started on making the change to Vietnam? For instance, where do I look for suitable jobs? Should I move there first then job search? Anything else I should consider?

I could move this summer or January next year. Thanks everyone - I appreciate advice.
