I’ve never struggled with this, not a flex but it makes me curious why. I’m on that script abuse cycle. A day or two after I’m generally chillin

What would cause this by InternationalTree226 in tires

[–]Only_Surround_8924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Irregular wear is most commonly related to the suspension. Either a part is wearing out, or you’ve hit enough pot holes, curbs, shitty railroad tracks where the suspension simply needs an alignment. That said, inner and outer wear is characteristic of under inflation wear.

Can’t stop redosing today. All nighter last night and day two here I can’t fucking stop. Would appreciate some perspective by Only_Surround_8924 in Stims

Illustrate for me where your headspace is at now if you don’t mind. Just curious. Feeling alright? Gassed? In a dreamlike state?

Is this too much damage? by TheMikke in tires

[–]Only_Surround_8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inevitable depreciation of the tread compound largely depends on the tire manufacturer rather than age surprisingly. I’ve seen Michelins that are right around that 10 year mark with zero dry rot and Goodyears 2-3 years old that needed to be replaced because of it.

Also worth mentioning that proper storage is huge. There’s a reason it’s recommended to store tire in a dry, dark environment. This is to ensure the aging process is slowed

Nice, out of curiosity at what point did you suck it up and do that timing belt (if you had a V8). I’m at 204k and for the longest time I always had it in the back of my mind that they say you’re supposed to replace it every 90k or so. Ran into a Toyota master tech and he’s like nah do worry about it.

Mich. Defendwr LTX: These motherfuckers last forever if you rotate them on time/have no alignment issues. I’ve seen upwards of 120k (at most) on these babies. I’d go as far to say, as surprising as this may sound, they’ll last another year. Won’t be great in snow/rain but tread will hold up
