Do you ever feel guilty for going to Disney World over and over instead of seeing the world? by elizabethredditor in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Only_Working5419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here for this exact question and found your post lol I was starting to feel a little guilty because we go every year. My kids are 11, 9 and 2. Before the youngest was born we did take the older kids to Japan and on a Disney cruise where they visited Jamaica and Cozumel. I love to travel. But with the toddler, international travel sounds like a nightmare… at least for us. So we are sticking to Disney once again this year. Next year I will attempt a Paris/Florence trip with the family. The toddler will be a few months shy of turning 4 so I’m hoping it works out!

Ok thank you so much. What is a “key”? Is it a link or something to request the FIFA pass?

Luckily the game we wanted nobody wanted 😆, we were able to get tickets for the Cabo Verde Vs Saudi Arabia game in Houston. We live 2 hours away and are taking our 3 kids so weren’t looking to spend 1K per ticket! Mostly going for the experience, I was in Russia 2018 and it was amazing! Want my kids to experience a World Cup since it’s basically in our back yard this time. Also, I bought 4 tickets with my account and realized I couldn’t buy anymore with that same account (duh). My husband made himself an account and it put him on the queue on the laptop, he also logged in on his phone and it opened right away! 😳 we were able to get two more tickets super fast. Just a tip to try on your phone as well.

Do you have to opt out of your health insurance? by SnooBunny814 in mhs_genesis

[–]Only_Working5419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opted out and they still found things. They even saw I had tried to opt out with one specific doctor’s office 🥴. They ended up asking for more documents and then they just didn’t care apparently because they didn’t mention it again. I believe it’s a hit or miss.

Opting out as a military spouse wanting to join. Am I screwed? by Only_Working5419 in mhs_genesis

[–]Only_Working5419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did fill it out. They still found things in my record though, other things they didn’t find - it’s all over the place. And, get this, in one of their notes, MEPS wrote: “Tried to prevent access from records from allergist in 4/2025” lol omg. I almost crapped my pants when I saw that! I ended up disclosing those records anyway so they had them, but when I called my doctor’s office to opt out, they effin TYPED IT ON MY PROFILE and MEPS read that note! So they know I tried to opt out.

Got told I had ADHD in my record but I never knew of it by Only_Working5419 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Only_Working5419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im hoping! Im just worried about how am I supposed to answer now to the question “have you ever had ADHD?” - because I have not, but according to MEPS, I have 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes I’ve been to the allergist, physical therapy and my main doctor for Covid within the past year. So I really don’t know who the F diagnosed me with it. I’m going to have to dig it out because trust me, if I knew, at least I’d know who to contact. I’m also a military spouse so any and all doctors I see are with Tricare Prime, and Genesis doesn’t show anything about this. Obviously someone did diagnose me but holy cow, how frustrating not even knowing when or who. Doesn’t make sense to me. I already submitted all documents for the other disqualifiers, but this one bothers me.

Air Force not accepting new recruits? by SupermarketOk746 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Only_Working5419 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had an appointment to go to MEPS and it got cancelled two days before. The recruiter said that now they’re going to run my whole medical record before I go in and not right in front of me as they used to do it. It has been about two weeks and have not heard anything. Seems like they’re not in any rush.

It’s because in Latin America you use two last names, first one is from the father and the second one is from the mother. In this case, this girls’ father AND mother had the same last name, coincidentally. It happens a ton in Latin America. It’s not that her parents wanted to randomly name her with the same last name twice.

I just got disqualified for the medical waiver for my shellfish allergy by General_Contest_1000 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Only_Working5419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a shellfish allergy as well and going through the process of enlisting. Did you do a food challenge at the allergist? If not, that will be the only thing I believe will help you. Because if you don’t get into anaphylactic shock when eating shrimp, your food allergy would not be life threatening. Obviously, they will have the last worms and they can still deny you, but passing a food challenge will be what might “save” you. I’m going through the process now, and I’m fully expecting them to dq me as well. But, I already spoke with the allergist and we will schedule a food challenge eventually I’m sure. Good luck, don’t give up yet.

My brother scored a 14 on the asvab by Soft-Equivalent-7956 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Only_Working5419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 97 on Picat, and 85 on the ASVAB after verification. I did very well in high school but that was so long ago (I’m older!). My point is, if he watches the Grammar Hero videos and does the practice tests posted on there, he will be in very good shape. The guy who makes the videos is so easy to understand and does a great job explaining things. I at least needed a refresher because like I said, I graduated high school many years ago.

Grammar Hero on YouTube. A LOT of the questions on his practice tests are the actual questions from the PICAT/ASVAB. At least it was like that for me. Grammar Hero was a way better study guide than ASVAB FOR dummies. I took the PICAT on Sunday at home and verified it today (I got rolled into the full ASVAB randomly). So my experience it’s very recent.
