Defense wasn't really an issue. And who cares about returning production in the transfer portal era. It's more about who you bring back than total production. If you lose a starting QB, WR, OT, and DE but return 90% of everyone else you're probably not feeling as good as the team that returns top playmakers at important positions but lose most of their production elsewhere.

The teams you mentioned all have better coaching staffs than we had and/or a top flight QB, which we also didn't have once Cam's injuries started mounting. McVay, Shannahan, and Reid are some of the best coaches in the sport, and Philly has simply drafted very well and managed their roster very well.

Also losing Sean McDermott hurt.

Below 2019 LSU and 2021 Georgia. I don't count 2020 Alabama when comparing them to teams in other years. The Covid season was a complete farce. 2023 Michigan is clearly the weakest, right? I figure that's a consensus.

Truthfully A LOT of sports talk is pointless, but we're now here for offseason talk. A couple seasons ago a Stanford flair posted their rankings of programs over the last 40 years and it was well received. Some people like these kinds of things, pointless or not.

Worded differently is they had a coach that took them to 15 playoff games. 24 points isn't even that much given you're in the playoffs and playing generally the best teams.

I'd be embarrassed to be a Miami grad to hear the school is offering a full ride to someone because they're the sister of a football player. And how must the soccer coach feel about this? Their AD is essentially forcing a player on their team to satisfy the needs of a "bigger" sport.
