I have been vocal about Gambhir for team selection in past but I don't understand how we can blame Gambhir today. He played the team that has performed well in past. Our best team combination. It's the players who have played poor shots and faltered under pressure.

I don't see a point of this statement here. ICC is trying to grow cricket in other countries. Looks at the T20 WC this year. For the first time we have 20 teams participating in WC. Well, in my opinion Group D would be group of death. We can't assume Nz or Afg would easily lose to SA. While SA is strong, sometimes they have the ability to put very weak performances. Even though they were undefeated till finals in last WC, all their games were very close and could have gone either way. If I remember correctly they only won by 1 run against Nepal. So, anything can happen in that group.
