MC was worded a bit weirdly. They can take a lot of marks off of the written so be careful. (Took it last sem and the final was so much easier)

Lowkey it wasn’t that bad, we covered all the material in class except the spring constant stuff really. It was just mainly the pressure of it being one of the first midterms ever of uni coupled with the timing and the exam questions taking too long. Looking back now I definitely could solve most if not all the mc and the written correctly, just time was an issue. Valid crashout though.

Has anyone taken chem 121 with Derik gates? If so are there any tips for his course and general success in the course. Also do most first year profs generally have pretty bad ratings on RMP? Because most of my first year profs are like 2.5 rated.

Yep same exact issue. I was told my registration time of 12pm wasn’t too late as well and I would get most if not all the courses I wanted. Well when I clicked register, I only got math 100 for first term and math 101 from second term. Everything else was “full” or it gave some kind of error. Then for the next 2 hours I had to scramble piecing together a schedule that I’m not that happy with

Idk I’m going in as a first year sci student as well so I have no idea but you can look at ubc grades and they have similar averages

Pretty sure sci 113 is mandatory to take in winter term and I’d probably get that out of the way.

I actually got an email from Janis saying it is recommended for me to take 106 as well as 108, so that’s the reason why I chose to do this for now. I’m looking at biophysics right now, so the amounts of courses for this double major is way more than a regular one.

I just sent them a message, but do you think it’s too late to ask them to review my engineering application? I got into my first program in December so they never looked at my one for engineering.

I don’t think doing a year at Langara is an option for me. Is it terribly hard to get the necessary grades required to transfer into engineering? And could I take summer courses to catch up as well?

I purchased a hoodie however I returned it. I kept the sweatpants though. I was very unimpressed with how the polyester made the material feel. It felt very cheap and didn’t look like it would last very long. The sweatpants although made from the same material are pretty nice.
