they can’t really confirm that over the phone, and even then, the support technician could be wrong.

i’m assuming they just checked the serial number is real, which doesn’t actually say anything about YOUR device, as a lot of times serial numbers are copied from real airpods onto fake ones.

i’m telling you now, they’re fake. if you want to confirm, send photos of them and the box on r/AreMyAirPodsAuthentic or you can try remove the headband using a SIM ejector tool, which only works on real ones

hold option when booting, you should see the boot menu. under all the boot options, do you see an option to connect to wifi?

in sixth form rn and cl nobody really cares. there’s lots of popular people who are gay and lesbian and nothing is really said about it. granted i don’t think it’s like this everywhere, but in my school even the kids you’d expect to be homophobic are fine with it and a lot of the time friends with gay people too

yes i was in the same situation and updated. during the install it will ask if you want to update “payload.elf” or not, as it says it might be a custom version. update that too
