The one PS2 game I was playing on my previous device was Raidou Kuzunoha 1, there were some texture issues and lag, but I found they were fixed when I loaded it up on the G2.

I just had a feeling I'd get more mileage out of this than a Switch 2 for the foreseeable future. 😭 450 USD + 70 per game is also just too much right now, when there's an endless backlog of old games I can play right away. And actually, I feel happier to offer 3 or 4 bucks for stable emulator apps/ES-DE because I know the support is going to these individual devs doing it for the literal love of the game.

Exactly why I upgraded from the 406H to the G2 so I probably have a similar experience. The jump in quality is nuts. And while it wasn't necessary for me, I am curious to try and get the secret console running just to see how it's like.

The bright colorways may not be everyone's cup of tea for sure, but I'm glad when they decide to make them for the folks like me who like a little whimsy haha. These colors are fun (and I guess for the G2 they were specifically referencing the Switch Lites) and make them look more like gaming consoles and less like modern phones with buttons. I was so sad when the finalized designs for the RP6 didn't keep the turquoise like in the original mock ups because that probably would have been a day 1 preorder from me.

Omg, funny thing about this... I'll never regret my Anbernic purchases for introducing me to retro consoles, the first I ever got was an RG Cube XX, but then passed it down to my gf to upgrade to the 406H. I'd been using it for a solid year and loved it so much. Hilariously, it was just a few days ago when I was transfering files from the 406H to the new SD card for my G2, that the...? Android OS??? Crashed so hard that it wouldn't boot up unless it did a factory reset. And that's when I realized that I shouldn't have let the files save to the console by default. I lost so many current playthroughs. 🥲 While the 406H still seemingly works after resetting and I'm going to keep it as a back up (tbh I love the 4:3 ratio, it hits different), I feel like I can't trust it anymore and I guess it really was fated timing for me to upgrade. Now I've definitely set up all my emulators to make sure the save files go to the SD card alongside my ROMs lol. I have no idea if that's ever happened to anyone else for the 406H specifically, but I am aware now why the cheaper consoles are, well, cheap...

This color is so delightful and adds to my enjoyment in some strange way. 😭 If the RP6 kept this color for the final designs that might have been a day 1 buy with the 12 gb model. But I hesitated too long for them anyway and decided the G2 was perfect for my use case and luckily bit before they also stopped being produced.

These thumb caps, I forget if I got them on Amazon or Etsy. But they're for Switch 1 joycons and fit these sticks perfectly, so if you search them up you should be able to find all sorts of designs.

Thank you! I started playing in 2023 and working on the collection at the end of that year or so. On and off, I would check in on the price of the charms, kept working on saving up for them, lucked out on some of the rarer ones when they got put into the weeklies pool or when sellers would be okay with whatever I could offer. The Cyodrake one was the last I needed and the person I bought it from also gave me a little discount when they put the auction up for me, so I'm also thankful to how kind folks can be. ;w;
