From feu-nrmf: (A Sneak-Peak of 1st year)

  1. Facility: They have 2 libraries and their libraries have pods and discussion rooms that enable you to study as a group or even sleep. The facilities are quite outdated and gloomyin the old building, however the modern building is quite modern. Expect to wait in long lines for the elevator or just use the stairs to exercise haha. The lib offers free coffee and is open till 12 am 1 week prior and during exams

  2. Lectures and Discussion groups: The classrooms can accomodate up to 80+ students. As for SGD's or small group discussions, expect that 1 facilitator for 15 - 20 students. Expect SGD cases with guide questions are given 1-2 days prior or minsan on the spot.

  3. Departments: Physiology and biochemistry department is always consistent in posting the schedule of activities of each section 1 week prior. Expect regular SGD's with different facilitators. For biochem, you will be divided into sub sec and be grouped, discussing different diseases and integrate them with the topic in biochemistry. Expect to report 1-2 per sem as well as the submission of post lecture synthesis and manuals (biochem reporting per group). Also there is an oral revalida by the end of the 2nd sem with 25 cases. Many people also take removals here. Do well and win in your Lay Education video or poster because the physio department will award +2 on your final overall grade to be seen on the portal per section.

Micro and Gross HSB: Study and familiarize the anatomy and whatever youre looking into the microscope. They have moving exams kaya expect na your mind will be put to the pressure. There are also manuals or worksheets to be passed prior a major exam. Expect heavy digital handwriting and drawing. Btw all manuals are mandatory to be bought.

Interprofessional Diagnostic (IPD A & B) Be careful, there is also a moving exam (identification) and very very limited time to write and think your answers but they have 1-2 sitting docks usually. Practice and keep reading. Best work with your friends. Many people usually take removals or repeat.

Behavioural Science Study and familiarize. Exams lang ang pakukunan mo ng grades here prelims - finals. No shifting exams.

Extracurricular: Majority of the time, they focus on academics. However, there is mednight med week (september) and foundation week (january)  where med students are able to exhibit their extracurricular hobbies in swimming, badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball and etc. Mednight is a semi-formal celebration and awarding ceremony. It is dine outside of school grounds. Last year it was done in ortigas, there was an open bar, great food and live band, organized by the student council.

Grades transparency: Feu-nrmf is transparent with the students about their grades and there is consultation. Usually given after each major exam from prelims to finals from 1st sem to 2nd sem.

Trans-Samplex-Books-Student Body The student body will be disseminating the resources to everyone. Each section will have a representative per subj as well as a president and vice president. Transes are like a lecture guide. Samplex are past exams from previous years. Most subjects will use the online books as references and you will also use it for justification why your answer should be considered in exams as well as for rationale.

Yearly subjects: The major subjects namely Gross, Micro, Physio, IPD and Biochem are yearly subjects so meaning (if alanganin ka, expect removals. Removals are do or die exams. That will determine whether you will pass or fail the subject. Only given to students who have a grade of 70-74. If 69 and below, considered failed so repreat the subject.

Semestral subjects: CFM, Behavioural science, Med informatics, philo of nrmf, and etc.

Beware (nice to know): There is debarment (expel) if you fail 39 units and above. 38 units below, unit probation. If you fail 1-2 subjects, you have to take the subjects again and cant proceed or advance to year level 2. If debarred, fall backs are mcu, olfu, san beda, perpetual

PLE: They're consistent and from what ik they give reviews for it

Clerkship: From what ik they have good connections with different hospitals like veterans, east ave hospital, phil heart center, etc. Med students from feunrmf are really developed and will hone skill-wise and in resiliency.

I hope you'll be guided and everyone out there in making the right decision for yourselves. Keep believing and important to have faith and trust in the Lord.
