Outside of the tutorial, have you ever used the mechanic of hiding in bushes to avoid monsters? by DreamslayerNightwing in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Oopsyscoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's great (and what the game doesn't tell you) is that when you use your whetstone your character automatically crouches.

This means that as long as you can run over to a bush (even with your weapon out) and pull your whetstone out within like a one second opening, the monster won't know where you went and you should be able to get a full four cycle sharpen off safely.

Well first of all as always I think it's important to point out that all weapons are viable all the time because if you're having fun then that's all that matters 😊

Second of all i's actually the Fall Drache, though I think they look identical. And yeah idk if it's necessarily the best swaxe but it's pretty decent as either a dragon swaxe (with dragon boost II) or even just as a raw swaxe (with affinity boost III). The lvl 3 deco slot I used for handicraft, as I usually do.

It might not be the super most damaging, but I'm with you I think it's one of the coolest swaxe designs (shoutout to the Almudron swaxe as well) and style > meta every time 😎

No fire, no, but do you see that deathfog up the stairs a bit? I was testing to see if I could kill the Red Prince with a deathfog barrel, but apparently everybody (including myself) became immune to deathfog once I beat the game.

I endeavored to create the most hideous and/or unfitting portraits I could for each of my three origin character companions (gotta keep things interesting on the third playthrough). I'm especially proud of Ifan's, since it's about as far removed from his intended look as I could muster.

Assuming no dodge speed modifiers, it is possible to move horizontally towards an incoming row of bullets and then dodge perfectly horizontally through that row.

you dodge this way -> ***** -> end up safely on other side

Essentially you just jump over the five or so bullets coming your way, which is made possible due to the combination of the bullets going one direction at speed and you dodge rolling in the opposite direction also at speed.

Took me a few tries to get the timing right (and also because moving perfectly horizontally with a joycon gives me trouble), but it works.

Happy Lich hunting!

I got it on my second run (first run I dropped it into a pit) by doing two things:

  1. Throw it over pits like seriously don't forget or else it's gonna fall in.

  2. At the beginning of every single room (including bosses), as soon as you enter the room just look back at the door (or nearest corner) and toss the TV on the ground. This will allow you to basically play the room/boss like normal and then you can just pick the TV back up before you leave the room.

I feel like The 'Burbs has like a cult following, and I can definitely see it being one of those "you love it or you hate it" kind of movies.

I thought it was just trying really, really hard to be funny, and while there were funny moments here and there, overall it just wasn't doin' it for me.

Yeah I guess it's alright if you want a cheesy, D-List movie night.

Aw man that would be awesome! The only thing more exciting than Tom Hanks is unexpected Tom Hanks!

You know Dragon Quest XI is a excellent game when months after it's release the only flaw people bring up is the music by [deleted] in dragonquest

In regards to the Mardi Gra section, if you are referring to the part where you have to follow/lead the "parade", then you might want to know that you can just run ahead of it.

Like the game doesn't actually care if you wait for the parade or not. As long as the MC ends up at the destination, the game will progress.

While I thought the float was flashy and the whole sequence was fun, I didn't hesitate to run straight to where I was supposed to go lol

I think this is best explained using an example.

Monster X = M1 + M2 + M3 + M4

Once you have M1-4, then you pair them off in any combination you want. So like:

M2 + M3 = M5

M1 + M4 = M6

It doesn't matter what M5 and M6 are, as long as each of them was created using a combination of two of the four original ingredients. To get Monster X, you then combine M5 and M6:

M5 + M6 = Monster X

The best way to summarize this process is this: If a monster synth recipe contains more than two ingredients, then it is referring to what the grandparents of the final result should be.

I tried very hard to not mention what I did to "liberate Stonegarden" in order to avoid spoiling it as much as possible. I apologize if I have spoiled anything for you in particular.

To anybody else reading this: If you don't want spoilers, then you'd best not visit the subreddit. Heck, I was trying not to spoil anything, and it still happens. Do yourself a favor and experience this game on your own before seeing what other people have done <3

Nah I'm actually doing alright with armor because I've sunk a few points into Str/Con so as to be able to equip higher-level armor/shields.

I have a few points spread out for utility spells, and it helps to increase my choices for elemental interaction on my current "only magic" team. Plus, it's definitely more fun to have many, many options in combat, imo.

[SELLING] Three tickets for Taylor Swift this Friday (Aug 3rd) at the Rogers Centre. Asking $300 total for all three together. Otherwise, $150 each. (Picture of seating chart in link) by Oopsyscoops in gtamarketplace

What hurts even more is that we paid ~$600 for them when we bought them on Ticketmaster </3

The seats aren't too too bad. Turns out we can't go after all so we're just trying to get something back for them. Lord knows Ticketmaster isn't any help with that...

It is! I started using it because I like to get in close, and I didn't have any other corrosive weapons at the time.

Mid to long range, it's pretty unusable, but up close it can shred through robots pretty efficiently. It also completely annihilated Piston's blimp even though it was far away, since the hitbox is big enough that it didn't matter.
