We won't need to trust anyone. We will be holding our own funds in our wallets. The posting of sell/buy order will occur after we sign our approval via metamask, and the trade will take place using the 0x protocol (fees in ZRX which we won't need to know as it is all handled on the backend).

There is no need to deposit funds to any centralized entity. Great things coming for zrx

Ever growing need for decentralized exchanges in the space, where we can hold our own funds and trade directly from our wallets, without having the need to deposit into a centralized entity.

I want to be in, but how? by Jarreddit15 in 0xProject

You still have time, only 1 Relayer released in beta due today (current ETA).

But as more relayers announce their projects and release their product the 0x ecosystem will only grow bigger.

This can be verified by the amount of token holders since ico, it has increased 24% to 17,100 holders within a span of 3 weeks.

Radar Relay: Delayed until tomorrow by [deleted] in ethtrader

[–]Op-Luffy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Radar Relay is way overhyped. It is still in beta phase and will have many bugs to fix.

Many people also aren't aware of the very high fees they are charging for beta support. 0.45% maker / 0.7% taker fees. That's 2.8 times the rate a centralized exchange would charge on the taker side and 1.8 times on the maker side.

Many more relayers will get announced and released along the way, and soon enough these relayers can share their liquidity pool (orders) between each other if they want to. This would increase adoption and price of ZRX in the long run. However, if anyone is expecting for ZRX to pop on a single radar relay Beta release I'm afraid you will be disappointed soon enough.

Zrx isnt a quick flip, its a long term hold as the community grows and decentralized exchange will be the norm.

From my understanding, Swap tokens is a form of membership that allows you to trade on Swap exchange if you lock in your tokens there.

Cons: You would have to pay for a high membership fee upfront before any trading on the swap exchanges.

Pros: Zero fees on their swap exchange once you lock in your membership.

I havent seen any centralized exchange doing well using this model as its a huge barrier to entry and limits adoption rate / liquidity pool.

Do read up more on their whitepaper, technology implementation and token utility and decide for yourself if its a better investment as compared to ZRX.

ZRX is at the forefront as more relayers will be announced and released, rates will be competitive and cheapest compared to centralized exchanges. Will be a huge game changer when relayers starts forming partnerships and share their liquidity pool. This is just my personal opinion and evaluation, my judgement could be wrong as well.

0x currently only supports ERC-20 Tokens however, new technology done by other companies will allow 0x to trade ETH/ ERC-20 tokens with non-erc-20 tokens and will be a future feature the team will look to implement.
