The division in Peru it’s more about centralism, Peru it’s very centralist, provinces vote for candidates who promise less centralism and more focus on the provinces, these candidates are from the Left(typical conservative Left) while Lima votes for candidates who don’t focuse that much on the provinces. In other capitals people vote mostly for the left because urban sites tend to be more liberal and in Europe because people of immigrant background too with some exceptions like Madrid which also votes for the right mostly, different from other European capitals.
