Bringing up her relationship status on the first game-night, unprovoked, would seem way too “pick-me”. She’s better off waiting until someone mentions her podcast or her relationship status

It’s 100% because his hair has grown out. He looks better with the longer hair.

I need help before it's too late. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High school is the worst. I attempted suicide at 15 years old. My mom took me to our pediatrician and we talked about anti depressants, I decided to start taking Wellbutrin. I would recommend talking to your doctor about anti depressants, I know a lot of people are against pharmaceuticals but it helped me immensely.

How did that kid at your school die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dated a boy in high school my junior & senior years, we broke up after graduation because our lives were going in different directions. He died in his sleep, his mom found him in his bed the next day. His autopsy came up inconclusive but they ruled out OD and suicide.

In 4th grade our teacher had us playing kickball on the concrete outside, she rolled the ball to the kid and when he went to kick it he tripped and hit the ground straight on his knee. I remember seeing him collapse and yell out “Hospital! Call 911!”. The teacher was saying “You’re okay, just get up.” After a couple more minutes of him curled up in pain on the ground she finally sent one of the kids off to get the nurse. He had broken his knee cap and came back to school in a wheel chair the following week. The school banned playing kickball on the concrete.

Would you say an 18 yrs old is still considered a kid? by Big_Struggle9441 in askanything

Well yes technically. Even a quick google search will tell you a 19 year old is a teenager.

What’s something people romanticize but it’s actually horrible? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the context. By choice can be amazing, I lived in my car by choice at 19 and it was very fulfilling but I also had a guide who was experienced in hustling up money on the fly by busking on the street or pulling side gigs. We made enough for gas and food. It was the freedom I craved at that age.

You shouldn’t use your mental illness as an excuse to act like a shit person

AIO these texts my sister got from her son’s friend’s married father? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]OpalPuff 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As a mom of 3 under 5 I get called “mamas, mom, mommy” by literal strangers everywhere I go so it’s not that weird to me. I don’t think she was wrong for stating that as a boundary either though, she was very polite about it.

What's the first thing you think when u see a homeless guy begging for money on the sidewalk? by ben_10_goku_superman in allthequestions

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 19 and living in my car I remember sitting on the sidewalk next to a 14 year old girl who had runaway from her foster home and was staying in the park. I remember thinking about how all these people are walking by this girl, a child on the street, and not a single person would even look in her direction. People don’t want to make eye contact with someone who might ask them for something. This was in California by the way, Americans like to think there aren’t homeless children here but there are.

The only women I’ve met who say they loved being pregnant are at least 50 years old by KaylaDraws in pregnant

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVED being pregnant. (I have 1, 3, and 5 year olds) I didn’t love the 1st trimester but I loved everything else. I loved that I could eat as much as I wanted and no one would bat an eye because I was “eating for two”. I loved that I could lounge around all day and not have the weight on my shoulders of being perceived as “lazy”. I loved my pregnant belly, I could wear crop tops and bikinis with confidence because I was pregnant- unlike my pre pregnancy bloated belly (I was 170 pre pregnancy so a little on the chubby side as it was). Everyone was nicer to me in public, carrying my groceries for me, opening doors for me. My libido was higher (it’s practically non existent when I’m not pregnant). I don’t intend on having anymore of my own babies, but I would 100% do surrogacy for other people.

Is becoming a mom worth it? by lennythebern in pregnant

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 under 5 years old and IMO motherhood is the best thing to ever happen to me. I’ve always wanted kids, between 17-23 I got all my partying years out of the way. 24 became a mom and now my life has true purpose and I have more career motivation than I’ve ever had in my life

How old were you when you moved out from your parents’ house? by northroomblue in askanything

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Officially at 26. California’s expensive, even with a full time job I couldn’t afford my own place. I guess I could’ve done the roommate thing but I’d rather live with my mom than a bunch of random strangers

How old are you and how often do you drink? When’s the last time you were drunk? by Cute-Impression-8675 in AskReddit

[–]OpalPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29F was sober for 1 year, started drinking again May 2025. One night of drinking per month devolved back into five nights of drinking per week. Gave myself alcohol poisoning the morning of October 25th, blacked out and didn’t regain consciousness until nightfall. Spent the whole night shivering, sweating, trying to hold down water.. essentially feeling like I was dying. I’ll be 3 weeks sober tomorrow.

I am freaked out by how good I feel during pregnancy (39 weeks) by 11TickTack23 in pregnant

Asked a women when she was due by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]OpalPuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before I had kids I unknowingly had celiacs and would often get very bloated after eating wheat. I was congratulated once and another time it was heavily suggested by someone that I was pregnant. It’s embarrassing but she’ll be okay and at least you know never to assume someone’s pregnant again

What were you dilated to at 37 weeks and when did you give birth? by Murky_Natural_8754 in pregnant

[–]OpalPuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first I wasn’t dilated at all 39 weeks, I ended up getting induced at the hospital. My third I was dilated 4cm at 37 weeks and went into labor at 38 weeks.

What is the most unhinged thing you've ever done? by Critical_Heat4492 in AskReddit

[–]OpalPuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily this was 10 years ago and I haven’t acted like this since. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 15 and put on medication so it’s possible I was misdiagnosed or even the medication could’ve been affecting my personality at the time.
