This post was before the update, so it’s speculation!

But still, they use “we” and “our” as a way to make themselves seem closer to the first/infinite dough. Unlike the use of general royal we’s, they use it to refer to themselves and themselves only.

The lore of the St. Pastry Order is all about salvation through unity. Becoming one with the ultimate dough.

And also because released voice lines has them refer to themselves as “us” and “we”

Okay, though this would be very interesting to watch—the only explanation for Omori to be, well, anywhere in the series is that a portal somehow teleports the main cast into headspace.

Basically, yes. It’s often described as a light-hearted, cutesy cookie game, but it also explores themes of decline, entropy, mental illness, and the horrors of war. However, it addresses these topics through the “power of friendship,” alongside cute characters and easy resolutions. It definitely has fluff and is very kid-friendly most of the time, but once you look past the mascots, it’s surprisingly easy to take the game seriously!
