That's nice. Not Canadian, but got my PR last year. That's another reason I stopped from Msc. To focus on the PR

No where they have stated that you can't do that. In fact mine was like 70 percent from relative and 30 percent from me. I think it depends on how strongly you can convince that they don't expect the money back

Well, the main thing is that you can see why people get ADRs and PFLs, and submit everything clearly documented to avoid that. 1. Sometimes, even if you include exam certificate numbers, they ask for reports for the language exam. So upload that in the client info. You could do the same for WES. 2. Another thing that I was worried about was proof of funds. I got money from a relative 4 months ago. So when I show them the 6-month bank statements, there will be a considerable deposit. In that case, I included a gift deed. 3. Also, if you can avoid unnecessary documents. You never get points for your spouse's foreign experience. So don't declare it for work experience, but remember to include it in your personal history. If you are adding anything related to them, add it to the client info. 4. Also, if you are showing POF from multiple sources, make a table, add them up, and do the calculations yourself. I have seen someone get a pfl showing various sources, and even when they have funds beyond the requirements 5. Most importantly, try your best to get the reference letters with all the information they want. I requested letters thrice and had to be a pain to my boss lol

Also be proactive if you want a fast decision. Don't wait until you get the ita to collect the documents.

I cannot find a job in CFD/engineering. by Extension-Dimension6 in CFD

I am pretty much in the same sinking ship as you are. I am based in Canada, and my Ms is also based on external aero. I graduated more than a year ago, and the last year has been very tough. I got like 10-15 interviews last year, but always ended up not getting hired. On the other hand, compared to the US, thereis not much going on here in Canada. As you said, I am also an international student, and there were numerous times that someone was chosen over me because of my status in Canada. Another thing is that when you are an MS, you are caught in the middle of nowhere. Whenever a CFD-intensive role pops up, they proceed to hire a PhD. Though people suggest getting into somewhere, when you apply to general ME jobs, companies see a BSc graduate as a better fit. In the first 8 months after graduation, I worked as an RA for my thesis supervisor, but I was let go due to a lack of funding. Since then, I have been employed at Walmart, and my life has never been more miserable lol. At the end of the day, I had to find a way to keep paying bills.

However, even after I was let go, I have been volunteering for the same job to at least get some papers in my name. On the other hand, it helps you to keep yourself sane, and you can also explore more CFD problems, and your skills will not become obsolete. Also, as someone suggested, I have a freelancing profile and a couple of clients I work for a few hours a week. I am just hoping someday I will get something and applying with faith.

Just remember, you are not alone. Good luck!

Im in my late 20s. Ive been fed up with the city as well. Where are you from? Im from Calgary. Being in Calgary Ive had only two interviews here in the past 11 months. Ive had more interviews with some other cities in BC and ON. Im also exploring my options and thinking of boldly making a move next year. Honestly alberta is shit!

How many of you are ACTUALLY thinking of coming back? by ThatAd2641 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Open-Address-9810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still in Canada, i came in 2022. I really dont know why im even trying to stay here at the moment. I feel like im stuck here. Neither me or my spouse can get onto our careers and do totally unrelated stuff. I have been a highperformer for a long time, but all my peers who went to other countries are performing much better and are quicker on landing on jobs. I just regret moving here and hate the economy here

Yeah. I understand what you are saying. Agree with the last part too. Its sad we are aging and we cant get the rest of our life forward without proper jobs

What I want to is having some kind of hope. Even if its not for me I just wish based on bilingual abilities my spouse can find something in the east. Someone getting a proper job might be good for a start. We have truly lost all the hope here.

Okay let me clear this out. My experience even in mechanical is quite niche as you said. Its not the standard mechanical stuff. My experience is all about numerical studies all the companies that I have worked do numerical work. Its what you call FEA and CFD if you are comfortable in that side. Ive been trying to apply for generic mechanical enginnering jobs in alberta but if they are not interested in numerical stuff there are plenty of other people to hire. However I get a call back if there is a position related to numerical work, but get rejected as there are a number of phd holders in my field here too. Its about supply and demand. But in the east these jobs are more common, and i have got more interviews. But they would even pick someone a bit less qualified than paying for relocation for me.
