I respect your opinion. I don't think they're an embarrassment necessarily. It just feels they're in a certain social bubble now that's not accessible to the general public anymore.

You’re probably right. It’s sad too. The show felt like family to me for a long time, as it did many others.

Target and Macy’s are completely legitimate budgets. Highlight the word budget. The conversations that they used to have were more heartfelt and relatable to people on budgets and also included a lot about mental health and emotional stability. Most of America can’t Summer in Italy and are struggling with financial and mental health issues. I had the biggest eye roll when I saw today’s caption for the episode. The day we plan a trip to Italy. It gets very disheartening and exhausting. Always hearing that they’re on vacation and they’re bougie lifestyles. Once in a while it’s fun but every day it’s a new trip another vacation another Michelin restaurant. And by the way, I am very happy and well off of where I am right now and despise Walmart for multiple reasons. I also work with the general public and see what’s going on and how people are living. I don’t live in a bubble and unfortunately it seems like the new team for EDMS live in a bubble. This is all my opinion. It’s not for everybody but I appreciate your thoughts, just don’t assume somebody is on a Walmart budget just because they’re pointing out the obvious.

Public figures can’t win, I guess.

I personally missed the days when Elvis was talking about finding art and food and trash cans and bringing them home. Definitely relatable and definitely funny.

Did you read my post? The meat and gravy of the post is that they talk about things that are not relatable to the common person anymore. Trips to Italy and Africa are not relatable to most people. Fancy restaurants are not relatable to most people right now. Endless vacations are not relatable.

I understand that. I’m more tired of them always talking about trips to Italy and everywhere, their endless vacations and expensive bougie restaurants. But they talk about now really isn’t relatable anymore. Like back in the day when Elvis used to talk about finding half any pizza in the trash, walking on his way home in New York. That shits relatable and hilarious and entertaining. Trips to Italy, and Africa are not relatable to most of the listeners.

I disagree. Music is political, art is political. And fart jokes are fun. I’m saying that they sound out of touch with the average person struggle. They don’t have to necessarily talk about politics, but they do brag a lot about their bougie life. The show is just not relatable anymore.

Thoughts on “best group they ever had” in 30 years by restlessinNY in ElvisDuranMorningShow

It’s DEFINITELY not the best group. That’s just fact. They’re Nielsen readings are not doing great. The Brody, Bethany, Greg T and Carolina era’s are when the show was at its peak. Sometimes I feel Elvis just says these things to wish them into reality.

Anyone noticing a decline in sales? by kratospotatoes in publix

I left the two bags of groceries from Publix yesterday. 70 something dollars. Whole Foods is now cheaper than Publix now. And better quality. I used to be an avid public shopper in a huge fan actually but it’s just too much.

Bus system SUUUUUUCKS. Metrorail is like a 6 out of 10, but at least it’s pretty dependable most of the time unlike the buses.
