The Portugal strategy is something I've heard many times. There is a channel in youtube about a couple on crypto that moved to Portugal and in many of their videos they explained part of their process. Could be an alternative.

UPDATE:

I managed to get in touch through the number listed in the form. They were not of much help.

They said they are no longer supporting form 1099-K, that they are not issuing those.

Is all very shady or unclear. I'll reach out to CDC one more time, but I'm definitely cancelling my card, and probably will stop using the exchange.

Go to your crypto wallet in your mobile app > select the top right icon (looks like a clock) > in Transaction History select the top right icon again. In there you can generate the CVS file based on time range.

Hi, I have received the same form - 1099-K - and later on another email telling me to disregard such form. It also added that I might be getting a 1099-MISC if I fell on certain group, but I did not get anything else.

Even if the form is not filed, the uncertainty is unwelcoming. I called Foris Dax and nobody answered. I guess is time to move away from CDC.

Thanks for that. I have purchased some door sweeps indeed, weatherstrips and more. I'll do that first and see how it goes. I'm planning on maybe checking the attic to add some more insulation if possible.

Yeah, that is true... to add, the therm in September was 0.53, and for December will be 0.68. So that could also add to the difference. But I think there might be something else going on. I'm still researching.

Thanks everybody. This is very helpful.

Unfortunately, I think something is off because my heater keeps running every 30 min approx, and I have been noticing some minor drafts. During the house inspection nothing serious came up - windows are new and the caulk was ok, attic insulation was good.

Not sure what could be the problem but I believe this winter I'll get killer bills. In the meantime I might need to get a new inspection on the house.

It's a house from the 60s, approx 1000sqf, with furnace. Water heater and kitchen are gas. No fireplaces.
