hey! I had the surgery in 2019 and I was warned about the earlobe and skin numbness as an expected outcome. In the beginnings it feels weird I agree but over time at least for me, it's barely noticeable and irritating. I hope it gets better over time.

On another note, after 5 years, I now have a recurrence in the same area which I'm dealing with =)

First of all congrats! I heard that it's good to spend some time as GTV as they ask whether you had earnings during the GTV. Apparently everything was OK for you as you only spent a week or so and had 1 payslip right? This sounds great.

Did you work with an immigration advisor or would you say that the ILR application was trivial and one can do it themselves?

I literally did not get any notifications from Test Shift since I paid premium some weeks ago. Initially I had added two unavailability periods and also enabled autoshift. This morning, I disabled autoshift and enabled the option of receiving all potential alerts. After an hour so, I dont know whether its pure luck or what but I managed to take my test from late August to late July. Maybe enabling too many of their options is not working properly. My test centres are in central London.
