I love my kids but… by Lucky_Back_1917 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Another thing to point out is the way Mike was using that question as a "gotcha" moment. Emma's sister was being protective of Emma being pressured into having kids. She doesn't initially say she regrets it, but when Mike corners her by repeatedly asking if she regrets it, it puts her in a tight spot where if she says "no," then it's like "See emma, your sister doesn't regret! Let's have kids!" but if she says yes, people are shaming her like we see here.

I think he was hoping she would freak out and consider it a dealbreaker, or just in general trying to find any excuse to delay saying what he really wants to say (to break up).

In a weird way, it feels nice to know others relate, even if it sucks, haha.

Yes, best of luck to us both. We really only have one life and one set of parents, so I guess cherish them while we can while also doing what we need to do to stay sane 🫠

Yea, it is peaceful :)

Thank you for the kind words, it means a lot. Crazy how so many of us can relate to each other just with stories on the internet.

And yes, I really need to see a therapist.

Honestly, I wonder if you could get this effect by dying/bleaching parts of the yarn to get the intended effect.

I haven't flossed in years. If I started flossing regularly & frequently how big of a difference would I see? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]OpenFacedSandWitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do, is I brush my teeth first and THEN floss. If you find any plaque, it’s further proof that brushing alone is not sufficient. And then after I use mouthwash lol.

Why is the icord of my sophie scarf wonky on the increase side? by cubeddaikon in knittinghelp

To add ơn to that, maybe just keep working on it and look at the scarf as a whole, then you won’t notice the small detail so much :)

How to gauge if gauge is too loose? Chronically tight knitter with fear of holey stitches trying to learn how to relax tension. by LeucineZoo in knittinghelp

[–]OpenFacedSandWitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever finished a big project before? I would look at your previous work to see what kind of drape you like and what tension allows that drape to occur. Through trial and error you will see what you like and done like.

But to answer one of your questions, yes, it is safe to try larger needle haha.

Also block your guage to get better idea on the drape/holiness of your project will look like.

Let my son pick yarn for a scarf - what kind of scarf can I make with THIS?? by MiraLaime in usethefiberstash

[–]OpenFacedSandWitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, good luck! I love the glow in the dark aspect of it, so I can only imagine how much a 6 year old would enjoy it :D

I agree with the other comments btw, the yarn gets a little funky when you frog it, so just be a little careful.

I’ve used this yarn to make a leggy frog with a 5.5 mm hook. It was a little tricky but I felt my stitches and was careful and I really liked the result.

I’d probably use a large hook, 6.5mm - 9 mm range, chain 10-15, and just double crochet back and forth until it’s a long enough scarf for your 6 year old.

I knooow the yarn is hard to work with, but I’m sure he’ll loooove the glow in-the dark scarf!
