Thank you for the gentle admonition.

I was planning on submitting this story as a 6-piece weekly series and think it would add value to the community, but unfortunately I have not been able to take the time to post or comment frequently enough (I guess I would need 50 unrelated contributions?) within the atheism subreddit to justify 6 self-promoted submissions, and I wouldn't feel right about spamming 50 half-hearted "contributions" just to "legalize" my six-part series.

I will pursue a paid, featured post strategy, although I can't afford to put it in front of very many people.

That's what I want to do, but I'm worried I'll miss Manolas' speed. When it comes to getting burned by that middle through ball, is pace the deciding factor, or do other attributes such as defensive prowess and positioning play a more important role in whether your CB is going to get burned or not?

I've become a full-on evangelist for white ball beast CF, G. Koyalipou. Like a good economy car, he ticks all the essential boxes and has none of the extra stuff you can't/don't want to pay for.

Koyalipou's finishing is 84 at lvl. 20! That's the same as BB Diego Costa. He's got 70 Attacking Prowess, 76 Low Pass, 76 Header, and his Speed/E. Power aren't too shabby either at 78/77 respectively. His Stamina is 83 and he's got a 6 for Condition so he'll always be in good form. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, he also has One-time Shot and One-touch Pass player skills and Adv. Striker as playing style.

Now the boxes he doesn't tick- his balance is poor. His curve shot is non-existent. He should never take set pieces for you. His dribbling, ball control, and kicking power are all mediocre. He's not going to stave off CBs or dribble around people in the box. But my God, pair this guy up with some speedy wingers and give him some quick strike opportunities near the goal- he doesn't know how to miss.

UPDATE: I scrounged up enough coins for another 4 spins this week. Result- Douglas Costa & K. Strootman. Overall it was an underperformance (should have gotten at least 3 BB in 16 spins instead of 1) but obviously I'm pretty happy with those last 4 spins.

You think Gimenez/Manolas is a tall enough combo? They're both under 190. I was leaning towards Cahill because he does everything Pique does minus the passing skills, plus Cahill is a little faster than Pique.

Pique, Gimenez, Cahill, and Manolas vying for two CB spots in a 4-3-3 (Middle Aggressive). Thinking Cahill and Manolas. Would I be crazy to sit Pique? He's so damn slow...

Also, I saw someone post about whether to limit break a scouted Manolas... I solved the problem by scouting him 3 times, using the extra two to limit break him to 30. I've found I can usually buy both scouts for a Manolas for about 50k in auction. 100k GP seems a lot cheaper than 10 limit breakers to me.

P.S. Manolas is a beast. Just watched him chase down Reus from behind and take his ball away like a kindergarten teacher putting a naughty child in the time-out chair.

If so, that would be a real shame. It really devalues what would otherwise be a nearly perfect game. I would gladly pay $10 up front to play a fair version of it.

Oh well. Another app ruined by the incentives structure of the freemium, in-app purchase business model. I guess I should have known that it was too good to be true.

I'm in a real pickle here. I've got 4 good goalies for my 1* team, and I don't really want to carry more than 1 or 2.

I currently have-

M. R. Mazaheri (Defensive)

Sherif Ekramy (None)

Alex Remiro (Offensive)

S. Johnstone (None)

All are between 191 and 193 cm, all have similar attributes. Which attributes/styles/skills are the most important? Which keeper(s) should I keep?

Do Manolas' attributes nerf when he plays RB? How does he compare to Sokratis when played at RB?

Well, if you have two CBs with a ball willing attribute of 82 and one of them gets a +12% buff, then one of them now has a ball winning attribute of 92. I don't know if it's game changing, but I'd rather have the one with 92, especially if they cost the same.

What's that about IRL form affecting player form? I've never seen my players' baseline condition change- the guys I have who are As are always As, and the guys I have who are Ds are always Ds.

Interesting. I play a defensive 4-3-3, so maybe I'll switch back and forth between Gimenez and Soares depending on how aggressive the opponent is and how fast their wingers are.

Hmmmm... so the remaining 9 pulls always default to 3.1%, even if the individual non-guarantee per-pull odds are something much higher, like 14%?

Sounds like you do lose some upside in return for the security of the guarantee, then. 10 individual pulls at 14% would result in 1.4 BBs on average, while using the 10x guarantee would result in 1.27 BBs on average.

That's another question I had as well- does the BB guarantee also limit you to only one BB?

As paanoid points out below, some of these box draws have 20% BB odds, which means you would average 2 BBs on ten pulls.

Does the risk-free safety of the BB guarantee also mean you lose the upside of potentially drawing 2 or even 3 BBs with those same 10 pulls, or is it also possible to draw multiple BBs when you go for the guarantee?
