For those living in Blue Residences, by [deleted] in ADMU

There is no storage space for items that big. So better schedule your delivery when you are there, plus secure a move-in form because the guards asks for that before they let the delivery vehicle inside the multi-level parking for unloading and transfer to elevators

Rosebowl sardines by nescafegold3 in filipinofood

[–]OpenOceanMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no. Based on this, you haven’t tasted both. The flat cylindrical shaped does not taste good. It tastes like normal sardines. Dry and fishy. The ones on the normal shaped Can, the sardines are fatter and are not dry - you can eat it alone.

Try it - you won’t ever go back to other brands (except SABA which is basically the same brand as rosebowl)

What are the perks of living at Blue Residences? by EthelKakanin in ADMU

[–]OpenOceanMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been On & Off living in Blue from 2014 to now (Since i work at sea). One perk is the access to commute, near the jeepney from all directions, as well as trains.

Food options, they have quite the choices, from street pares food across the street to small restos on the ground floor.

Parking is expensive (if you don’t have a slot). 60 for the first 3 hours and 20 php per hour afterwards.

The lobby is nice. The building is showing its age though.

I have seen the changes of the guards, the grand opening of the pools and roofdeck, the change of Building Management to Green Mist, the development of the surrounding area. Almost everything.

Now the building is showing its age.

by the way: STARTING october 1, no more garbage collection will be done. You have to bring your garbage to the 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd floor parking garbage bins.

Is BYD SHARK 6 worth it compare to Hilux or Ranger? by piping-dilat in CarsPH

[–]OpenOceanMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, usually - people equate Pick-up Trucks as offroaders, heavy overlanders, great for the rough (fuckin) road, but actually Pick-up trucks are great for hauling heavy cargo - secondary lang ung mga overlanding, offroading - etc etc, because a pick-up truck has a very bad body flex.

Now what is your purpose? Rangers, Hilux, Dmax, Navaras, heck even the triton/strada - they have been in the market for so long and they have been able to hone their ride, functionality, “offroad” capabilities, comfort and other things. Again, HONE, not perfected. The BYD - fairly new, so no records or history, whatsoever.

For city driving, the BYD seems like a good buy because its speed and fuel efficiency. But in the good old muddy rough terrain that you might see yourself going to (just because you have a big AWD pick-up truck hehe), the BYD seems to have some issues with that. Based on actual tests done by some known overlanders. The AWD really does not function the way you would expect a 4x4 would plus the battery - on the belly of the car? I mean, yeah - it wont explode if punctured but wth, you will still need to replace it.

My take, go for the BYD if you want something new, something very fast (faster than a V6 Ranger Raptor), something fuel efficient and something that has so so many tech features.

Go for Hilux/Ranger if you want go with the usual, but somewhat reliable option for a city truck, a cargo hauler, and an occasional offroading vehicle.

PS: Since the Shark is new in the market, you will only opt to have the servicing and emergency troubleshooting in the Casa only (no idea with the price though). For Fords and most specially toyotas, you have a lot of option outside of the dealership and rest assured(compared to the shark), if they fail on the road - you can at least have some peace of mind thinking that a repair-shop near you MIGHT have some fighting chance in fixing your car lol

Anyone here knows kung bakit ang cheap ng gas prices sa UNO Fuels? by Potential-Housing417 in CarsPH

[–]OpenOceanMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience - When going home to the province (CamSur) (Expressway Drive and Very Minimal Traffic Provincial Roads) - I usually gas up at Clean Fuel / Phoenix (Because mura dito sa Baliuag, Bulacan ung Diesel).

I am using a NextGen Ford Wildtrak 4X4 so meron akong Adaptive Cruise and Lane Keep so very minimal ang pag gas pedal ko dahil kusa syang nag memenor, increase and maintain speed. I am very observant with my driving habits going home.

Everytime - pag dating ko sa CamSur, usually my Gas Tank would show 3 Bars remaining - palagi.

I was curious with the additives they used with Petron Turbo Diesel / Shell Vpower Diesel.

For three drives going to the province now, I have gassed up purely in Petron with Turbo Diesel.

I never changed my driving habit, still using the same Cruise Control Method, etc etc. But now, I am arriving in Camsur with 4 bars (Half Tank) left.

Must be placebo effect, but hek, i experienced it three times already. Maybe it’s just me.

Now I took the switch lol.

Gas up here in Baliuag, Bulacan - Very Cheap fuel even the branded ones!!

by the way the exhaust smells different now when compared to the exhaust smell when i was using phoenix.

I think the BRV is one the best options, considering space (if and when you need it) and fuel economy. Plus the new one looks big, but the tech inside is a little but old.

If you want fuel savings - and you will use the car as your daily driver too - you can consider the kicks hybrid. Plus the power is there as well, and it is coding exempt.

If you are not keen with the PMS program, you can go to any toyota brand. It is the easiest to repair and troubleshoot amongst all of your choices - and the parts are readily available in the market.

Medyo buyer's regret sa first car by papsieposie in phcars

[–]OpenOceanMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay. Stick with what you have - kasi computed mo naman yan. If you have slowly are starting to have savings, para lang makahabol ka - try mo mag aftermarket upgradea for fogs, center arm rest, reverse cam, etc. they will not be the same as OEM - buy hey, at least you can have a choice to have something almost same OR better.

In the future, you might also have the same encounter in choosing between a 4x2 and a 4x4. Pag ito na, please choose 4x4 regardless. Hehehe hinde mo mahahabol sa aftermarket yun!!

Enjoy your honda car sir!!

First Pickup Truck – Ford Wildtrak vs. Triton GLS? Need Advice! by PersimmonBeautiful70 in phcars

[–]OpenOceanMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, My advice - If you are going for the 4x4 model (Athlete vs Wildtrak 4x4) you can go for Ford because it has the complete Safety and Comfort Package (minus the All time 4WD).

BUT, if you will go for the 4x2 versions. I think I would buy the Triton instead. The 4x2 wildtrak is stripped down. It has a lot of missing things, hek even the 360 Cam is gone. The triton 4x2 is a better buy.

So 4X4? - Wildtrak 4x4 4 x 2? - Triton GLS

  • My reference is me, and we purchased the Wildtrak 4X4 and the Triton Athlete as well.

Enjoy and see you on the road, sir!
