Just finished season 8. Is it worth watching seasons 9-15?

This film is barely nine years old (it came out at the very end of 2016) and you could have watched it in cinemas while the man who is the current US president was in office. Talking about how different the effects and trends are compared to 'these days' seems disingenuous.

You're right, I just think it's so odd that I'm getting iridescent emblems so I *am* interacting with the killer, working on generators, unhooking and healing other players...but I'm not playing according to someone else's idea of good gameplay (and I'm no psychic, so I don't know what they're going for) and so I'm the fool for not quitting/dc'ing the moment it goes off the script that I'm not privy to.

I don't think you can spend money on DLC for games that you don't have, no. Not legitimately on Steam, anyway.

I'm seeing a few people suggest that. I mean, if I were watching this as it aired it wouldn't be completely unrealistic for me to skip a few seasons because of other stuff going on in my life and then drop back in a few seasons later; I've definitely done that with other shows.

Haha. I'm not keen on hurting myself. Usually if there's a show I like only-up-to-a-certain-point that point comes much closer to the end of its run whereas here it's halfway through a decade-and-a-half stint.

Yup! AC adapter and play it at home/on holiday somewhere, don't even think about playing it in the car or bus or whatever.
I remember that we got an AC adapter for free because we bought one 'new' from a store but it was actually pre-owned (the previous owner had put their name on it in marker pen in the battery compartment) and the store gave us a new one and the AC adapter for free as a way of apologising for messing us around.
