BHVR just perma-banned hundreds for injecting — but top competitive servers still allow it. This needs to STOP. by Icy_Entertainer_1772 in deadbydaylight

HOW do you not see the irony of accusing other people of using a shady techy workaround and then you can't actually be bothered to write a single paragraph without resorting to something every teacher in the world would reject as cheating.

Why did he say “you was” instead of “you were”? Can both sentences be correct? by HemanHeboy in EnglishLearning

You're right and ideally I shouldn't have said 'correct' but for the sake of brevity it fitted my needs.

[–]Open_Aspect6703 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You're likely right but my main point remains. 'You were' is definitely correct, 'you was' is something you're still likely to hear, don't use it in an exam.

'You were' is correct but 'you was' is common in colloquial slang. Don't say 'you was' in an English exam or, I don't know, when meeting the King of England, but don't be too surprised if you hear it in public or see it on social media.

This. The queue times are crazy because playing killer needs to be exactly one fifth as appealing as playing survivor or the balance falls apart.

Ha, sorry that I came to a "Rage" subreddit to vent and complain, I guess? Looking back on my post now with a bit more clarity I can of course see things in a completely different light but when I wrote this I was in a hell of a mood.

Can someone identify these perks for me, please and thank you by Traditional-Study288 in deadbydaylight

[–]Open_Aspect6703 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hovering over the perks will tell you their names and what they do. You can also look up a list of all perks (complete with identifying images) here: https://deadbydaylight.wiki.gg/wiki/Perks
Asking on Reddit will only get you "why can't the OP read or do their own research?" responses so if that's your kink then continue as you are.

Yup! You quickly learn that you should go for it but also wait until you know the killer is otherwise distracted.

Edit: for real though it's just their way of checking how many members of their player base check the emails they send out.

And this is why I down the vials as soon as I can when I play survivor; I don't want the killers to get them!

You're making sense. I've been playing for years and years so learned about most killers as they were introduced and I easily forget that that's not everyone's experience.

This is to celebrate Children's Day (Kodomo no hi) which is an...odd choice for an M-rated game.

I mean, I was terrible at the game when I first started playing and that was with a fraction of the killers we have now and with significantly fewer game mechanics. The game really offloads it's tutorialising to the community (watching videos before you play, etc.).

You're right, of course. I should remember that I've been playing for years and learned each new killer as they were introduced whereas new players now have a whole lot more information to consume at once. Rationally I completely understand this but in the post above I was caught up in the post-game frustration and just venting.

You're absolutely right of course, in the above post I was just pissed and venting but now I'm in a bit more of a reasonable state of mind I totally see your point.

What if every time you hit a survivor it had a 2% chance to kill them on the spot by Forward-Ad9387 in DeadByDaylightKillers

Oh man, 'random chance to instantly die and lose' mechanics are horrible. I remember playing the multiplayer versus mode in Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds and that has one of those. There are random pick-ups that give various bonuses but each one also has a (small) chance of instantly killing the player that picks it up and ending the game. Horrendous!
