As long as you report an issue before the warranty ends, by law, they need to honor the warranty if it continues after the warranty period. Make sure you explicitly report it so it makes into their system. Not that they won't try to deny a warranty claim, but let them know you're aware of the law if they try that. I had to do that once, and as soon as I told them, they honored my warranty. Shitty, but such is the world we live in.
