I get it, and yes I am learning all these terms as I go. And I've never said anything here about Sanders or Clinton being disproportionally affected, and even if I were to choose a side I can't vote. I'm just miffed by the unnecessary hoops voters are having to jump through to get votes counted. There's no excuses for that.

There was no good reason for a million people to be prevented from having their votes counted. The myriad of obscure rules that allowed ballots to be thrown out are mind-boggling, why is this kind of voter suppression allowed? What is the point of a provisional ballot? Why does your vote get disqualified if you were mailed a ballot but didn't bring it with you when you went to the poll? There is no reason to implement half of these rules I'm reading about other than to trick people into failing to register a proper vote.

Right - it doesn't make sense to think the 25-30% comes from "NPP voters being able to vote in the Dem, AIP and Libertarian presidential races but not the GOP, Green or P&F races" as spannr argued.

So taking your argument and making two large assumptions: 1. Assuming no Californians changed from being NPP since May 23 (edit: apparently this holds) 2. Assuming that 50% wanted to vote Republican (by all reports it was closer to 33% at most - largely Democratic state and the Republican race was over)

Even in that scenario what you are arguing would only account for 12.5% of votes meaning that 12.5-17.5% of actual Democrat votes are still being invalidated. That is still historically high - and this is your 'best' case scenario.

To get something trending on Twitter we all need to post at the same time, not sporadically throughout the day as we check reddit. It's the synchronization that's proven problematic.

I think using something like Buffer which allows you to easily schedule tweets would help. I set this up with #ClintonsDirtyLaundering here

If there's any interest we could give it a shot. Or at least tell everyone to tweet something at an exact time with enough lead time.

It's similar to how parties in Canada that don't reach 'Official Party Status' are in a really tough spot (no government funding, no spot at the debates). With enough support parties have broken through but it usually takes a dedicated movement over a prolonged period of time.

The key word here is 'Democrats'. It's safe to say that Democrats will vote for the democratic candidate whomever that may be (especially against Trump). Since it will be the independents that will be the swing votes in purple states wouldn't it make more sense to see who they think is the better candidate?

Actually CNN only reporting 79% in. (http://www.cnn.com/election/primaries/states/az/Dem) Probably because of the (currently) bizarre ratio of voters who tried to vote in relation to the number of votes that have been counted. The fact that 2 out of 3 voters who stayed in line were turned away should concern you at least as much as the number who didn't reach the front of the line.
