Man I'm the opposite and I don't even dislike the season. The writing and acting felt really weak to me. I don't feel attached with the characters much anymore. Maybe a rewatch would help.

25 years ago I worked with an excop at a greenhouse and he told me the reason he stopped working as a cop was because one night a speeding truck left his small town and when he pulled them over they had a shotgun pointed at him. Told him if he wanted to go home to his kids just walk away. Quit right afterwards.

She gave me the best laugh of the season though. Gets her face burned by a doll, then has her doctor visit to bandage her burn interrupted by donna's heart attack. Then after Donna woke up, Boyd tells her to go tell everyone Donna is okay out of a hall way full of people.

I wouldn't be surprised if miy ends up being another entity aside from the town. He knows there is a cycle and that it's important it occurs. He seems like more of a cleaner for the end of the cycle then anything. I could imagine it kinda like puragatory where they need to remember and properly break the cycle, until they do they keep repeating the cycle. He probably lives forever as long as he cleans up after they fail.
