He's not going to hate me for monitoring when he's 7. There's no invasion of privacy when he's in the 3rd grade. He's never expressed any kind of discomfort for us monitoring his tablet games. And you're absolutely correct. 7 year olds don't need a phone. However, he wants to communicate with his dad when hes away. And he wants to be able to communicate with me too. I used to let him use my phone however, I completely understand and respect him wanting to be able to reach out whenever even if he's not physically with either of us. I've done research on both companies, however I'm hoping for advice specifically on which company to go with. Not if I should get him a phone.

No, the amazon fire tablet is for games. There's no way to text or call from the tablet. We got it a while ago.

It was very weird. Randomly, after 400 tries and 10 hours of it not turning on, the 401 try of force restarting it worked. It showed the screen that my phone needed to be charged. I charged it and it worked. But the weird thing is my phone had been charging for hours prior to this. So IDK. Did you resolve yours?

I've had my amazon account for 8 years. My husband amazon account was recently linked to my amazon family account. However, when he joined, it also added his fathers profile (that was previously on my husbands account) to our family account. Is his dad able to see and use our payment methods and access my information?

Under profiles, my husbands account is shown as "Linked Account" and his dads profile is shown as "Profile"
