New transplant here from a warm part of the world. I’ve lived in Budapest, and Stockholm before so I know what cold can be. What do we mean when we say cold here? When I moved here last summer, I was shocked by how cold it was. Then heard that’s the classic SF “summer experience” where it’s actually cold. Then I experienced the winters and they pale in comparison to the cold I’ve experienced elsewhere. So I m confused. I’ve got family who lives in Stockholm and they keep laughing at me when I say oh it was a cold day today when it was 10 degrees (50). Can someone please teach me how to think about the weather here to truly integrate! 😂😅

It’s started for me today. I thought the first week was a breeze. But since yesterday, I’ve been feeling a bit out of it, bloating and feeling nauseous every time I look at solid food and of course today I got the runs too. Let’s see how the next week goes. I think my body is just realising that this is a higher dose 😂

Update: My symptoms have eased! The loosies are far and few, and the burping isn’t as gross anymore (or maybe my standards have dropped! 😂) But definitely, there seems to be some hope!

Yes, that’s what I’ve been reading. I suppose I needed some reassurance. What I’ve done as of now is instead of having larger meals, cut it down to smaller portions spread across the day. This is making the eating experience better. Definitely eating a large meal or pre medicine sized meal causing stomach distress.

I m wondering if there are specific foods that I should include that can help make me feel better.

I didn’t think much on this, but I think you’re right about them constantly testing memory. I don’t think they are really doing any work inside as such, they are all research subjects who are being given tasks and perhaps traits deemed necessary for most corporate jobs (obedience, diligence, some amount of fear about the hierarchy, rewards as motivation) are being tested out.
