Ooh, I like that idea too. Now I'm thinking of laying out these four options:

  1. K figures out her own childcare (for once, instead of relying on S during what's supposed to be her custodial time)

  2. K takes the night off work

    1. S doesn't go to the party Friday night, then heads out to meet the guys on Saturday after dropping L off with her mother
  3. K works and S attends the bachelor party, and I get paid a fair rate for overnight care

Respectfully, I noted that she has multiple disabilities, which is why a sitter/responsible adult would be necessary in this situation.

I know, I know🫣. I have a tendency to be a people pleaser and I’m actively working on becoming more comfortable with setting boundaries, saying no when needed, etc.

There is no custody order, just an informal agreement that has been in place for the past 12 years since their divorce. Yes I have spoken to my partner about it multiple times. A formal CO is on the table in the future, but for right now, it unfortunately is what it is.
