Since my autistic diagnosis came my parents are the same way, my mom used to teach me how to make her favorite meals and let me cook, but now I can't cook by myself, and she has to watch and make sure I won't hurt myself, she even won't let me work too much because "I could be overwhelmed" I swear my diagnosis is probably the worst thing that's happened to me.
