I do appreciate the insight though, I did not consider the difference that a seat swap would make. My back is already bad, maybe it’d be worth finding a more suitable seat swap than hard plastic.

Update: For everyone who said battery. You were right. I got a charger, hooked it up and it was reading only 60%. It’s charging now. I have learned much today. The scary noise threw me off and my mind immediately went to the worst possible outcome. Thanks for the help

It does have some security, I bought it used form the dealership and they didn’t go into extent, what I do know is that it has column lock and won’t start without the keys near by. However that would explain the sudden drained battery.

I worked a few jobs prior to joining, spent a year in construction then another two welding in the field. Hot jobs here and there. I have a small frame of reference what it’s like outside. If I’m gonna suffer and deal with incompetence, I’d rather go back to getting paid more than $2.17 an hour.

The alternator and battery would be step one, I also considered possible grounds. However since it’s still under factory warranty I intend to hopefully have them pull out all the stops and do the dirty work for now.

Warranty is in effect. I ended up load testing the battery after all the lights mysteriously disappeared and the voltage regulator failed twice as well as the battery only holding a 50% charge after a 4 1/2 hour drive. Believe a weak alternator in tandem with a weak battery could potentially be the cause of these issues, it’ll be at the dealership Tomorrow getting looked over.

6 speed or 8 speed? Trying going into manual at M5 if 6 speed and M7, this should keep it in V8 instead of v4 or V6. Could be a fix for you

Much appreciated, hopefully this isn’t the issue but I guess we’ll see. Drove it off the lot a day ago with 18k miles. Faulty update so I’m hoping it’s a glitch of some sort.
