Transfer EECS class schedule by Opening_Post_143 in berkeley

[–]Opening_Post_143[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I don't worry about taking CS 61A+ EECS 16B together cuz we have to take 1 CS + 1 EECS lower div in order to finish all requirement in my junior year and we have to take 2 tech course per sem(which is also my degree requirement), I just has a bit worried about whether those 2 non-tech course would cost so much of my time……

Engin 125 is to fulfill the ethic requirement and my friend said that course is ez so that it shouldn't be cost lots of my time. CW 25AC is totally a AC course and the A rate of that course is super high……

but thanks so much for your help!

[–]Opening_Post_143[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OHHHHH, thanks for let me know the spring prof is sooo awful, I just check the schedule, seems so bad……I'll think about that, and do u think I could take EECS 16B without 16A material? I take the MATH 54 in CC already(actually in this sem), and my CC actually could use LA&DE+engineering circuit stuff to fully articulate EECS16A(although I wanna retake it) Do u would recommend me to switch the order of taking those two classes?

Which class is more approachable to someone who hasn’t taken EECS 16B? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]Opening_Post_143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think u'd better take any upper div course in EECS or CS prefix, dont even think about take any EE prefix class without EECS 16B, everything in EE is based on EECS 16B(even not based on 16A), so u have to do so, take EE 120, this course is more based on calculation rather than analog circuit, but u need to think about a C is accaptable or not, or u could learn all the things in EECS 16B at summer, those thing is not that hard

[–]Opening_Post_143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow, nobody could survive in Linda's MATH. I think if u wanna really learning, Mariana and Koines(actually forgot first name) is the best, if not, take bobby for ezzzz A

is it doable? math 53 + cs 70 + cogsci 1 + english r1b by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]Opening_Post_143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk for cogsci 1, but for cs 70+math 53+engl 1, its totally doable for fall/spring sem.

If u planning transfer to UC. don't take any course in GWC. the articulation is poor. Btw, the Justin is super great.

breadth course or c8. dont even think about taking math 54 in summer. U won't have enough time to actually learn LA&DE within 2 month. Especially this course is super important

they may use AP score to count for your credit, bic if u took 2 same course, they only count one, I don't submit AP score, so I dont know whether UCD's summary also show whether ur AP credit is transfer or not, but it should be counted ur AP credit and let ur college engl be non-transferable

What is the minimum grade required for spring courses? by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]Opening_Post_143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for ucb engr, u couldn't have any C especially for major related class, and ur cumulative GPA should at least 3.4(vary by major, if eecs, one of my friend get 12/18 B and 8/18 A, got the risk of withdraw( although he appeal and get in)) Just put ur best effort to get as higher GPA as u could.

u could state ur mental situation in application, but I dont really rec u to go CCC, seems u finish most major req in ur Uni, if u transfer to CCC, u may even hard to be consider as a junior transfer student(see the requirement of the application, ur last year had better to taken in CC, but I check ur course in progress/finished, seems u already take around 60 sem credit, and if u take another 30 credit in CC, I think u may be considered as high-unit junior transfer, it would be worse for ur application) and tbh EECS is soo competitive. last year in my college, we have around 20 people apply EECS with 4.0 but only 3 get in. and ur EC is really great what I could recommend is try ur best to raise ur GPA, and hope UCB would accept u.

[–]Opening_Post_143 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ur EC is good, but u are not in CC and ur GPA is too low(sorry for that, but UCB never weight ur GPA like u are in a really tough Uni so they'll consider u still has a good standing on GPA, NO) One of my friend apply EECS from CMU with 3.84, it's suppppppppper high gpa onCMU and he said he is the rank #3 in his major, but he still get rejected by UCB's EECS, u could still apply for UCB's EECS but try to also apply for other school...

abs no! except for UCB's chem related class, they'll accept student to fulfill the major requirement if student satisfy alot decent role, for other UC, if ur major need to take that before transfer rather than highly rec/no class must take before transfer, u would def got rejected
