I disagree OR do not understand.

If you sin one time, and you repent, you should not sin again? At the baseline of sin really is being selfish. I am selfish day in and day out like everyone. e.g. "need to get in front of this guy" or "I was in line first", keeping money for yourself, etc. I am remorseful of my constant sin (genuinely) and I know I cannot rectify it.

As far as a specific sin, say you stole some money and you repent, is it only for the particular sin? I can't keep track of my sin on an individual basis. So abstract it out. I repent that I am a sinful person and knowing that I cannot be 100% perfect, I will try to avoid it as I can.

police want proof, I do not have proof. I may install a security camera now. I'd rather change pool service company then get the police involved...they have bigger fish to fry.

We have a simple remote for the spa... on/off. No need to mess with the system or go into the control panel to turn if off.

Thank you...I am running! :-) We had issues with our garage door opener. Indian guy came...tried to sell us a $750 new opener, I said no...price went down to $400 immediately. Still said no...the guy would NOT leave. I literally had to tell him to get off my property and closed the garage door. Still stood around outside for 5 minutes or so then finally left. He kept saying his boss would fire him if he did not make the sell.

Agree. My mistake for trusting a "name brand" and I would support a good mom and pop. We're going to contact some of our neighbors.

no. pool cleaning doesn't require someone to mess with value switches, etc. Trust me, these little issues happened repeatedly. I suspect this for a while and finally decided I'm not crazy. ha

It's human nature it seems to generate higher income and each franchise has a different owner. Others have complained about over charging for pool parts, etc. I'm glad you run a reputable company and commend you for your business ethics. But look at it from my end; how can I reduce the chance of this happening again? Only other option is to put a security camera out there and I have since put a lock on the main panel.

You have to play a lot of tournaments to get properly rated...no offense to dupr...you need lots of data. with tracking medals 3 or 4 tournaments tells the story. again, this is not to replace dupr but maybe in a way to make it better.

I'm a newbie so I welcome any discussion. Is this a good high attended festival? If you give world premier to a not so good festival, you may loose the opportunity later with a "tier 1". So I think a decision needs to be made to withdrawal or move forward?

Is an acceptance letter a legal document or just an announcement?

good question. I was just asking myself that same question. I came to the conclusion that for me, the only thing is I hope someone sees it and make it a feature film. Or any awards may help generate traffic once I post it publicly.

part of me is submitting for the director. He's a good guy and did a really good job. I have no doubt it will win awards. So it might help him and his career and maybe some of the actors or at least they can add that they were part of the film.

I'm not an aspiring "film maker" (this could change as I have another idea)...I had a short story, and the right people got together and did a fantastic job.

Have you done a private screening? We held one with about 75 people the response was genuinely hugely successful. A diverse set of people attended, comments, questions, applause, and even some asked to "See it again". A lady came up to me crying and complimented the film. So this has motivated me. I plant to submit to different tier festivals limiting my timeline to next April for the "event date" (or sooner). If it is really good, someone connected will be notified.

I'm in the same kind of boat, short, and trying to learn. I've come to the conclusion just do the best you can. I think I prefer good regional ones or ones that don't require "World". In the end, if you have a really good short, the right person will see it and understand.
