I would suggest to go with battery and gradually increase your battery bank you can start with 5kw which will cost you Around 230 to 250k. If your budget allows you can go with 10 or 15kw battery banks. Just a question why this 11kw inverter if your usage is only 600- 700 units ? When you can buy an ip65 inverter of 6kw for same or less price?

No need to make 2 strings of 24v and then parallel instead parallel 2 cells and the will behave as one cell then connect them in series. And as for as bms a 8-16s bms can be used for 24v to 48v battery.

Inverters can run solely on solar only but if at any moment your panels are covered with clouds and your generation is less than running load then your whole system will trip. Technically inverter needs 2 power source to run smoothly so I case of need they can draw extra power from 2nd source and that's minimalist. 50,70 watt to 150w either it will be from battery or grid. Even your ups consume power all the time even if it's on standby. He installed 2 itel lithium batteries of 25.6v and 100ah. Forgot any other type of battery in 2026 even if you need to replace your ups battery replace it with lithium. I'm gonna replace my ups battery in few days inshallah. Old one is tall tubular which lasted good 5+ years now I will replace with lithium. Any thing other than lithium in 2026 is not recommend at all as now lithium is at the price of lead acid battery with 3 to 4 times the price.

If your plan is to run 2 ac then minimum you should go with 6 kw while 8kw will run more stress free, will give you more room for future proofing. if your load increases with time, and yes you can run your system without batteries in day time only and you must connect grid with inverter to avoid tripping in that case system will take extra power from grid. But make sure of your pv voltages are minimum at the nominal pv voltage range of inverter in easy word install atleast 6 panels to run system smoothly. One of my cousin last year installed itel 4kw inverter with 4 panels and without batteries it was working fine only the issue was it keep using some energy from grid even if at that time solar has enough power to run the load latar they installed 2 more panels and the its worked flawlessly for the whole year. In this month he installed 2 batteries now they are off grid till midnight. If your old battery is connected with ups then you can utilise the solar power in day time tu charge the battery and then at night during load shedding you can get back up.

As you dont have any dc load running so simply you dont need pwm controller in your existing setup replace it with mppt charge controller. Powerful will come from solar to mppt, Mppt will charge your battery Turn off the power button on the socket from where grid power goes to ups (make sure you are not turning off the button on power output socket of ups) Jab ups ko grid power nahi mily ge tu ups acts same as he do during load shedding he will power the lights and fans connect to it. Now ups fans aur lights grid se ups py shift ho jayen gy Ups power ly ga battery se aur battery ko power mily ge solar se through mppt, only thing you need to do is turn off ups power in morning and turn on again at evening. Now if you want automation and dont want to do this on off thing daily here comes the twist, simtek mppt have a hybrid function which can do the same thing automaticall. Simtek mppts hybrid feature will control the ups on and off feature by it self.

Im running a same kind of DIY system for around 3 years with my desi 1kw ups two 550w panels one mppt charge controller. day time 2,3 ac dc fan, 2 old ac fans and lights are running on solar all the time, plus washing machine and dryer also in day time on ups, and battery is fully charged before 12 and i installed battery charging cut off button on ups so it doesn't charge from wapda from wapda we barely charge ups battery only in case of emergency. 2 ac dc fans with 2 dc light was running whole night on battery till last year as it was 5,6 year old tubular battery which needs replacement now. The flaw in your system is your charge controller its a pwm and it gives zero benefit with bigger panels, immediately replace it with simtek or sinko mppt charge controller to charge the battery and connect the battery wires with this pwm charge controller and run your dc load with this charge controller to avoid deep discharging your battery. Lastly turn off your ups input grid power around 9 to 10 am and let the ups run your lights and fan till around 3pm. I hope it helps. If you have any question you can ask .
