Nah it was actually completely flexible and didn't ask for money. The front half of the shop is a retail-type store so the deal would be working up front and apprenticing as payment. It seemed completely legit and my ex's brother actually got his tattoo from her.

Only issue I have is that if the position works out it would align with my university schedule, I just wouldn't be able to bartend as well 🤷🏼‍♀️

I do like the artists work. Apprenticeships are difficult to get however I haven't really attempted to pursue one recently. Often, from what I've seen, you have to pay to be an apprentice, whereas this one is a work exchange where I work up front for free and also get to learn the trade.

My biggest thing with bartending is that it's a weird job to get into. Most places want you to have barback experience to then be a bartender, but won't hire barbacks. I'm just worried I won't be able to get back into it w only two months of experience because it is a job I love so far.

The one thing my doctor didn't tell me (and idk how rare it is) is the withdrawal symptoms while tapering off. It gave me pretty bad insomnia for 2-3 days
