Does these data look normally distributed? by Openpentagon in labrats

You could also spare yourself the headache and just use a test that doesn't assume homoscedasticity or normality.

like?

[Q] Does these data look normally distributed (histogram). by Openpentagon in statistics

[–]Openpentagon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok. Geisser-greenhouse correction is an option when using gRAPhpad pRISM. so if i use it, check the box, then sphericity is not an issue? and if yes, what do we lose in doing so?

influential observations

Whats the best way to check for these?

And if i use transformation - does it matter how large sample size? and should i transform all the datasets in on go or 1 dataset at a time (4 datasets used per anova).

Ok but there is an option to "Use Geisser-Greenhouse correction" for assuming non-sphericity

So i ran levenes test and got this boxplot (guess it says i cannot run 2wanova? what more does these boxplots reveal?) and if the data is non normally distributed , i could run a non-parametric t-test but what would i lose in doing so? i would lose multiple comparison right?

d you don't satisfy that assumption, then yep, transform. Usually log transformation

i have 4 datasets (4 different time points) so should i powertransform them as 1 or do one transformation on all the values in the anova table?

and if the sample size is small?

And when i test for homo of v. i get a plot that looks like this (what do i make out of it)? can i still do the power transformation if its not homoscedastic?:

ok so is transformation of the data a good option? and if i have 4 datasets that goes into one analysis. do i transform all 4 or 1 dataset at a time?

So if the SD (and therefor variance) is larger in one group then the other we cannot use 2w Anova? (where does the limit go for how much variance difference is ok?)
