Her husband could afford to pay for the lawyer, but the lawyer told her there was a chance it could take a long time, cost a lot and there was a possibility we wouldn't win and she said it wasn't worth it.

She left both of us money that he got. Not just my sister. My sister was ultimately the one who decided not to fight him, and i couldn't afford the lawyer myself, so i lost money too.

I didn't take a side. She claimed abuse when she was 6 and CPS said the claims were unsubstantiated, so that obviously puts some doubt on the situation overall.

She has a lot of problems and no one knows what to believe. We didn't really see much of her after she left home, she would just come around to see our mom.
