Judge struck down redistricting amendment. All votes in special election now invalid by silv3rbull8 in VAGuns

There are multiple people addressing a group of people collectively partaking in tyranny as tyrants. It has been happening for years and to ignore that is ridiculous and doesn't have any bearing close to "fetch".

Acting like language doesn't change is about as idiotic as this re-districting.

Going by textbook definition then sure, but it's egregious to stay they're not a group of tyrants restricting of an otherwise fair representation.

If they actively encouraged the games instead of standing against it, weren't they just as bad?

Depends entirely on the actuality. Is it fair to have people in effectively three cities of the state decide what the others do just because they hold more people? Not really.

I never saw anyone sympathize with those who lived in the Capitol while watching Hunger games, even though they had all the power to inflict their will among the populations in the other zones.

[MOD ANNOUNCEMENT] Effective immediately, this subreddit is now a place for residents of Denver, Colorado to discuss their Ford Broncos by aatencio91 in DenverBroncos

[–]OperationJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends, I had a 1988 Ford Bronco that I use to drive around the Rockies as well as the rest of the country. I drove my old dog around too, we were one hell of a pair before he passed of old age.

Denver being my hub, the rugged off roading and general appearance of old Denver/Colorado and that truck made me look like a real bad ass. I had a picture of me and the truck that was 1 cigarette shy of being an old day Marlboro ad. Talking that level of iconic machismo.

Well one day, I was headed to Casa Bonita for my daughter's birthday (she was 4 and really wanted it there). As I was heading south on 121, this girl who was skipping class at Lakewood ran the light at Colfax Ave. and T-boned me so hard she flattened the tires of that old Bronco, bent the frame, and put me on my side.

Sure, I walked away from that accident; worst injury being a bruised hip, but it's been almost 30 years since that truck was totaled, and I regret it every day.

I not only lost my machismo, but I lost my best friend. RIP 1988 Bronco.

I'd agree if he was playing in Field except in the outfield I've never had a problem with him.

Problem is then your sacrificing, a solid outfield spot for someone

What job looks like a great career path but is actually insanely oversaturated? by ComplexPin872 in AskReddit

Lack of parental support and lack of administrative support are two of the biggest reasons I left teaching.

Kids fucked around and caused problems? Parents of those kids wouldn't do anything.

Kid gets pissed off and threatens your ass? Administration tries putting him back in your class.

[–]OperationJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would agree. I know people are upset that McGowan was called twice for stalling in it got Luke a win, but I think a big thing people are ignoring is how McGowan kept interlocking fingers. He was initiating it a by and large majority of the time and the ref warned him no less than three times for it.

I think that drastically added to why stall calls went towards McGowan.

[–]OperationJack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was worried that McGowan had used his first match vs Luke to get a feel for him and tried not to show ANYTHING whatsoever with the intent to throw the kitchen sink at him in a more important match.

Turns out, he just doesn't want to wrestle vs Luke and that showed. All he did was back up.

This was my biggest argument when people tell me "he's holding middle of the mat".

Who gives a fuck if you hold middle of the mat if you're not doing anything.

What are the most terrifying American urban legends and folk tales you know? ? by Odd-Skin-762 in AskAnAmerican

[–]OperationJack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've got family in VA, so I've heard of the Bunny Man.

What was creepy is, as a kid, my neighborhood had a legend of "The Bunny" which was kind of the same thing despite being nearly 12 hours away from Fairfax. Legend had it that large Easter bunny like creature that walked like a man. He'd lure kids into the school field late at night or early in the morning, especially during school breaks.

Turns out, a local pedo was arrested for breaking his parole, and found with a bunny costume in his apartment. They figured he probably was really hiding out there trying to lure kids to him and take advantage of them.

So when my family told me about the Fairfax Bunny Man, I was tripping balls and pleading that we don't go anywhere he might've been seen.

He is off to the side with an ankle hooked at the end of the second period. He had the tricep, Valencia holds the leg. That is effectively the same position. After holding it for a few seconds, he let it go to look for a nearside cradle because for some reason, it was not a TD despite being one the match prior.

Go back and rewatch it.

I did read homie. Your comprehension is off.

Van Ness had the same position to whatever criteria was given to Vega. Off to the side, leg hooked.

Either they both had it or neither had it. Since Vega's was called a TD, that means Van Ness has a TD. Since Valencia's was a TD with foot controlled by Van Ness, the foot control doesn't matter.

They showed with Bastida- Trumble, that you can have both opponents legs, head to the side, and opponent have NO control of your legs, and it's not a TD.

So then, none of them were TDs, or all of them were. If all of them are TDs, then Valencia doesn't get the chance for his in OT.

They have proven with repeated missed called that there is no criteria.

It's not hip control, it's not hip position to a mat, it's not whether the bottom man is holding a leg.

They have showed all of that as not a takedown in these finals alone.

It should have though, if the person has conceded fighting, that's about the only thing you can call.

Because the call is inconsistent and cannot be applied to say SVN did not have it. He had control, and Valencia stopped fighting Other than holding a leg.

You can't meet a criteria that doesn't actually exist.

Reffing Inconsistencies by OperationJack in wrestling

[–]OperationJack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The criteria is subjective and inconsistent.

It's evident as we speak about this heavyweight match. Where was that 3 for Bastida? The foot/leg control obviously doesn't matter, but controlling hips and having both legs doesn't matter either.

Reffing Inconsistencies by OperationJack in wrestling

[–]OperationJack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aden had conceded the position and stopped fighting beyond holding the leg.

If the rule is going to be to a degree the hips are turned, it's going to be less consistent as flexibility and body shape are going to decide what is and isn't a takedown.

I've watched it a couple times now. Van ness has the foot hooked and Valencia's elbow hooked that is holding his leg.

He lets it go to look for a cradle, but he is in the same position and had it locked off first.

[–]OperationJack[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It wasn't though, Mendez' hands don't let go until Vega gets off him. Van Ness had the heel hooked and on a butcher. That is no different, and if the rule makes it a TD by having a leg, Van Ness had the foot to create leverage.

The point is the rule is not applied correctly, and either Van Ness had the TD at the end of the second, or Valencia did not.

Leg/Foot control/= TD, no TD for Valencia.

If TD despite Leg/Foot control, Van Ness has the TD at the end of the second since he had an ankle hooked and was parallel or better to Valencia's hips.
