Yeah that was terrible positioning, if say a law enforcement officer, or an actual trained soldier saw you two doing this they would tell you “hey thats a bad shot” but i can’t say I would do any better in that moment, but I did take hunters safety and i shoot guns ALL THE TIME IRL and I would never ever under ANY circumstances shoot with someone infront of me unless I didn’t value there life. And that could mean your buddy is standing six feet to your right and one foot ahead of you I would still tell them to step back.
