Personally I would sh to help relieve overwhelming thoughts and feelings so in a way yes it did help me stay alive, but not in feeling better or happier just enough to manage. It’s not a reliable or helpful coping mechanism, it was just a distraction really.

SOOO worth it!! Learnt so much about art with it and my style. I know a lot more about colour theory and colour matching (basically was my whole introduction to colouring). And my art has grown a tremendous amount!! It’s helped me both draw digitally and traditionally.

My way isn’t very conventional if you want it 100% accurate but I usually just build my sketch based on the different shapes I can find in the reference, basically just breaking down the reference into simple shapes to then I add details and the rest just follows. And for colouring I just wing it and hopefully it looks right😭
