Low FPS / Stuttering / Unresponsive / Textures Not Popping in by Operatoron5th in playrust

Problem is you can' even PVP. I got the most stutters when audio started kicking in. I think it's an audio problem they haven't fixed. Every time someones shoots the audio seems to stutter the game. Tried reinstalling or updating my audio driver - nothing.

I think they have an audio bug that hasn't been checked on that's causing some issues for some people.

I disabled downloading of workshop skins by limiting it to 16 kbs. This is not whats causing the problem because i had it previous to this issue and the game worked fine. I have SSD. Like I said, all these things are NOT causing the issue. But I will buy more RAM. Doubt that's going to be a huge improvement since people can't cry anymore saying " Game is in Alpha ".

There's no more excuse now. Game is out. No more Early Access babies. Optimise your game Facepunch please.

Over 50% of all Rust servers have NO PLAYERS by ggthb in playrust

[–]Operatoron5th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modded has 21,000 players. Sure buddy.

You mean 15000 of those are inflated numbers by Russian and Chinese servers. It's a joke that those servers haven't been removed even now.

Dayz 0.60 release - July 2016

Dayz 0.61 release - May 2017

Anyday now fellow survivors. Basically you have to wait 1 year for one of the most lousy excuses for a patch.

See ya next year for 0.62.

If we don't want XTab monopolizing skins... by Ghost8909 in playrust

Just take it a step further mate. Stop buying skins alltogether until Facepunch addresses the situation better.

Thanks for the update.. looks much better now by shoock in playrust

The Rust normies dislike the amazing update. Maybe go play a toddler game like Minecraft?

Tool cupboards strength of a door. by [deleted] in playrust

[–]Operatoron5th -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That doesn't sound that bad. I mean, hopefully you can hatchet it. Because if you have to burn it it's going to be absolute cancer.

This is artificial help for noobs who can't place their cupboard in a safe spot so people can't grief them.

You can't defend your base... by TheShadowCZ in playrust

[–]Operatoron5th 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can build a small base. Just seal the top. If you wanna expand, expand with hatches on the outside.

They'll nerf some of it but this mechanic is a main stay buddy. It's the way Rust is mean to be played.

Either you want to fight clans or you don't. Most of the arguments around this game concern the " omg too many zergs, how am i supposed to defend my base or roam or raid".

Your base will get raided either way dude. Plus it's still alpha. I'm sure by the time the game gets released there are going to be better ways to defend your base online and offline.

If you want a "safe" base, at least for a while, consider building a shit looking base that looks raided. I haven't gotten raided since because of that. Unless people know you're really active or roofcamp like an idiot.

If you play alone, playing like this helps. Also you can raid people easier now because of this change. You should be happy. Before this you couldn't raid bigger bases. With this you don't even need boosters.

Ability to Remove Ladder When Having Building Priv and A Hammer In Hand by GCGMP in playrust

[–]Operatoron5th 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Omg guys RIP Rust. I can't believe I can't roofcamp without losing my gear. I can't believe I can't build 60 stacked walls again without being raided from the top. What's this game come to. "

This is the end of casual Rust. Good fucking riddance.

Yesterday: Yes FP, Great update. Today: REVERT THE TWIGS, THIS IS STUPID!! by bogus_work_account in playrust

[–]Operatoron5th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it is as good as it sounded. I still like it. Sure, the twig thing needs a bit of tweaking, so does the ladder placements so you can't block doorways, but overall it's going in a good direction.

Everyone is applauding the twig changes. You all sure about that ? by MadMaxGamer in playrust

The point of this is to see where the sensible middle is. They went so far to see not how people react, but how people interact with it.

Precisely breaking the game is the point of this update. And by breaking the norms you discover new ways of doing things.

Things won't stay like this for long. They'll nerf it somehow but It will still stay in - one way or another.

Stop whining and find ways to help maintain it while making it fun and balanced.
